📢 As enterprises grow, investing in advanced network security tools is crucial. But without effective network operations, these tools alone won’t guarantee efficiency or strong ROI. Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) bridges this gap by helping security teams optimize configurations, detect anomalies early, and tackle challenges like misconfigurations and human errors. Our Managing Director of Software & Infrastructure Capabilities, Frank Reyes, brought his expertise to the Defense One DoD Cloud workshop to discuss the DataOps approach and its ability to ensure reliable, resilient space and cyber domains in the cloud. Key takeaways from the discussion: 1. As technology becomes more interconnected, cyber threats to data and IT infrastructure are increasing in complexity, posing new risks to the Department of Defense. Balancing secure infrastructure for multidomain operations is critical. 2. Operators on the ground need to be able to access data anytime, anywhere, relying on data transport across land, air, sea, space, and cyber domains. To control the flow of data, DoD needs to manage and secure network operations effectively, so they can respond in real-time. 3. Network-intelligent systems and data interoperability are crucial for securing multidomain operations. DataOps, a strategic blend of technical capabilities and processes, can support these efforts. The Crowdstrike debacle is just the beginning. Someone will build an AI model to find large impossible to find unintended hidden flaws in cybersecurity software that can wreak havoc on major service systems and it will be able to look for these hidden flaws 24/7 and even faster with a quantum computer. A black hat will nefariously exploit an AI system like this. If you think this is not an eminent threat: please get your head out of the sand or peek out the intentionally ignorant groups behind the MAGA movement.
