Muzinich & Co Corporate Credit Snapshot – November 2024 ◾ Global credit delivered mixed returns in October ◾ In the US, asset values declined across the board given the dramatic rise in Treasury yields ◾ In Europe, the European Central Bank (ECB) cut rates for the third time this cycle; ECB President Christine Lagarde reiterated the ECB’s expectation that Europe will avoid a recession, her messaging further supporting higher rates in Europe ◾ Emerging Market (EM) debt also declined this month on the back of rising government yields. The catalyst was robust activity data, political uncertainty in the US, and the expected removal of austere policy in many EM markets Please click to read our monthly Corporate Credit Snapshot which looks back at market events over the previous month - https://lnkd.in/emmVx9ES #corporatecredit #fixedincome #publicmarkets Past performance is not a reliable indicator of current or future performance

Navigating the Green Transition: Insights on Green Bonds and the ECB's Role. Investors are increasingly drawn to green assets, yet steering them effectively toward these investments remains a significant challenge. Coordinated efforts are essential to achieve meaningful progress in aligning finance with climate goals. In his intriguing thesis, Michiel Depoorter explores how the European Central Bank's (ECB) green policy announcements influence the greenium—the premium on green bonds compared to conventional bonds. The study highlights the critical need for collaboration between central banks, governments, and institutions like the European Commission and the EIB to truly drive the green transition. I encourage you to dive into the details of this research and explore the full article: Green Monetary Policy: Analysing the Impact of ECB Green Policy Announcements on the Performance of Green Bonds (link in comment). Congratulations to Michiel for this excellent contribution to the discourse on sustainable finance! 👏 🔗 Check out the accompanying chart on the greenium below to visualize these findings. Let’s continue the conversation on how coordinated policies can unlock the potential of green finance. #SustainableFinance #GreenTransition #ECB #GreenBonds #Innovation #ClimateAction
