Previously I created a dummy store web app and integrated it with Mastercard Gateway to accept payments. Now we take that implementation few steps further and add Card On File capabilities to our store, using Mastercard Gateway’s Tokenization API. While we today rely on the networks of Visa and MasterCard to route payment details, initiated with the tap of a card, those networks are about to become significantly disrupted by new protocols. I don't need to know what internet service providers are involved in routing my TCP/IP packages from browser to LinkedIn and back while typing this. There is no designated centralised ISP that everyone must involve. In similar ways, the networks used for movement of value is being decentralised, whatever that value is.
