It’s official 🎉 the City of Liverpool has been named as Queen Anne’s Godparent! Today marks a new chapter in Cunard’s illustrious 184-year history as we celebrated our magnificent new ship with a truly historic naming ceremony in our spiritual home. Five Liverpudlian icons will represent the city, each embodying the heart and future of Liverpool, just as Queen Anne does for Cunard. Inspired by our past and designed for our future, Queen Anne is ready for many unforgettable adventures. We are so proud of her. We are Cunard.
Looking forward to seeing her in Hamburg; QM2 home of hearts!
It was amazing. I am a Godparent of a magnificent liner. I was there in the moment of the ceremony Who would have thought. Innovative and inspired idea to democratise the naming of a luxury liner to a community.
It's a vessel of our age. A new chapter begins.
A big hug to everyone who is part of the Cunard cruise line family. When I know I was part of Cunard! And especially for almost 30 years! And I had the opportunity to walk in and out by the door! Above all, very grateful for that experience acquired! All that remains is to say thank you. I wish the Cunard family all the best in the world. And may your ships always have good wind and good sea..
What a pile of Tosh. If you’re going to make a whole city a Godparent at least use a City that does not Boo the Monarchy. The ship should of had A Godmother she is a Queen after all
We watched her maiden voyage sail away from the best vantage point on the Wirral Water front .The streets were lined from Woodside Birkenhead,Seacombe Wallasey ,NewBrighton .It was a fabulous display.
I still feeling part of Cunard. Reason why I always say I am a Cunarder.
Looking forward to joining Queen Anne on 11th August for a 7 day cruise to Norway. Being a passenger always feels a bit weird but I’ll try to relax and turn off my auditing eyes
