Google just announced a new feature for Google Workspace users - hand annotation directly on Google Docs! This addition to the app makes feedback much easier and more intuitive, and we imagine it will be particularly useful in creative contexts that require more expressive annotations than simple underlining or highlighting. This new feature is currently only available on Android devices however Google will likely expand this feature to other platforms soon. Being able to have so many shortcuts on Android is so helpful for #accessibility and just as a user. I can toggle different features on and off and open some of my most used apps like WeZoom magnifier, Microsoft Seeing AI, Be My Eyes/Be My AI, and Google Lookout. But it isn't just for accessibility related apps, I can also quickly launch the Audible app, the Bing app (to talk to co-pilot), and Amazon Alexa. Something I didn't talk about in this video is the fact that I have a huge clock widget (Digi Clock Widget) and that has shortcuts, too, though it's invisible. You can assign actions to each quarter (top right, top left, bottom left, bottom right.) On Samsung, there are some exclusive shortcuts like the volume up + side key and even more if you use Good Lock. There are countless shortcuts people have made and use on #Android, and it's simply brilliant. If you have some that you use, make sure to share it! https://lnkd.in/eRFQNdJv

Design for spatial environments is different than traditional apps and AR/VR. It takes new ways of thinking and that’s exactly what Brian Mila from our Lextech team shares more about. #applevisionpro #designthinking #employeeexperience
What tools and skills are needed to design for spatial computing and the Apple Vision Pro? We started asking that question ourselves and realized it wasn’t just a question of toolset and skills; our entire design process needed to adapt! This is part 1 of a 3 part series exploring how we retooled and reskilled ourselves to deliver enterprise Apple Vision Pro apps faster than we ever could with mobile apps. Here are some helpful WWDC videos we found valuable to get started: https://lnkd.in/gZ_Ug5n8 https://lnkd.in/gV98Egy2 https://lnkd.in/g4ts8CBT #applevisionpro #enterprise #spatialcomputing #spatialdesign

🚨 Attention All Smartphone Developers! 🚨 Just when I thought dealing with Apple’s App Store was the ultimate test of patience, Google decided to up the ante. 🙄 Sure, Apple used to be the thorn in our side, but now Google is here to prove that Developer-Accounts deletion after less then two years of inactivity is the new black. And let’s not forget that delightful, super extensive questionnaire that feels like it was designed to test our willpower. Oh, and the UI? Absolute masterpiece of complexity. Navigating it is like solving a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded. 🧩 Meanwhile, over at Apple, everything is running smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy. 🍎✨ So here I am, forced to whip up a new Android app by December 4th. Inspired by Google’s “generosity,” I’m creating a little something-something: an automatic post generator. Nothing groundbreaking, just a bit of fun to keep the sanity intact. 🤖📱 Built with the finest Google stack: 🔐 Google Authentication 🔥 Firebase 🧠 Firebase Vertex AI 📁 Firebase Firestore 🚑 Crashlytics 📊 Analytics and some of my new not yet released flutter packages. Because why not add a sprinkle of Google magic to the chaos? Let the fun begin! 🎉 #DeveloperLife #AndroidDevelopment #GooglePlayStore #AppDevelopment #Sarcasm #TechLife #Firebase #Automation
