While the initial setup and maintenance may require some effort, open-source observability platforms and tools provide a standard, vendor-neutral way to handle data. This can help you save on licensing costs and streamline your tools in the long term, making the freedom and flexibility they offer well worth the investment. Gartner has predicted that by 2025, 70% of new cloud-native apps will utilize open-source tools like Open Telemetry for better interoperability. For companies seeking a cost-effective, flexible solution for observability, open-source is the way to go! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/dQDgzv9q #OpenSource #Observability #CloudNative #OpenTelemetry

In this series of blogs, we’re focusing on how to better meet the needs of your small business customer: that potentially lucrative — but all too often overlooked — market segment. One way of doing that is by providing what we call business microservices, and this time we’ll focus on another one, the business/private line: https://lnkd.in/ey28EyJS #smallbusiness #microservices #businessline #privateline #businessphone

All technical products — especially security products — should be super useful, for FREE. Especially in crowded technical markets, the delivery of real value is almost all you have, because it can be nearly impossible to tell which vendors are telling the truth just by looking at their marketing. I see it all the time — vendor decisions driven by the confidence of the most technical people in the organization who experience the product hands on; not a managed PoC or structured buying process. Sales and marketing still have important roles to play -- but buyers want to experience what's its like when they are on their own in production. Trust is therefore won or lost far in advance of the vendor-led cycle -- it happens on the homepage, at the sign up button, in Slack channels, and in the first few minutes of a real-world user session. At FOSSA, we believe that great products for developers should prove themselves within those first few minutes. And that time shouldn’t be wasted scheduling calls with sales, speccing out RFPs/PoCs, or reading configuration docs — just sign up and use it. Prove that it works by seeing it work. Because of this belief, and confidence in our product, we’ve always had a generous free tier. Not a short-term trial. Not a complex web of open source projects. Not a half-baked new tool, missing the workflows it takes to get real value. Our free tier is our product. And when we say free, we mean free. Forever. But next week, we’re going to go even further for devops and security technologists. My marketing team says I’m not allowed to say more yet, that I have to save it for the launch. (Blame it on Aaron Williams) But I think this announcement is an important one. Stay tuned …
