Why I switched from WHOOP to ŌURA 👀 After starting my journey with WHOOP during half-marathon training a few years ago, I recently made the switch to ŌURA! There were a few things that influenced my decision. It all began as a focus on training optimisation, which naturally evolved into an interest in overall wellbeing with a focus on sleep and recovery 💗 I remember the first time my sleep data had come through! It was such an exciting moment; for the first time I got to see how different habits impacted my recovery. I always felt like I dreamt a lot, with some mornings feeling exhausted from what felt like hours of dream adventures. It was exciting to see that on average I get 2.5h of REM sleep per night 💤 So my main reasons for switching: 1. I needed more balance: WHOOP is excellent for performance optimisation, but I realized I wanted a tracker more focused on general wellness rather than athletic performance. My competitive nature needed something a little less…. Competitive 😅 2. Female Health Insights: Oura's cycle tracking and female health metrics are an area I haven’t payed much attention to, but have become increasingly interested in since working in the wellness industry ✨ 3. Design: The Oura ring looks and feels like a piece of jewellery - enough said 🤭 I’ve been wearing my Oura for about 2 months now and I absolutely love it! Let me know in the comments what your experiences are with different trackers, and if you find them helpful. Ps. If anyone has tips to increase deep sleep please send them over 💤 #sleep #healthtech #recovery
Over 2 hours of REM? I am jelly! I've never had that much REM. Oura user now for 3 yrs and so hooked while learning tons too!
Funny enough I saw an advert for this ring and thought, Csilla and Derrick would buy that. Please tell me it isn't the same subscription model as whoop?
I’ve had ŌURA rings since their inception for four years now. Several of them died, and I had to buy some to get the newer version. The customer support is great compared to the ones in the Middle East, so it depends on the person's standards. And I love it! I have never tried WHOOP, but I know many athletes adore it. Ideally, you should use both and compare the vitals and other metrics to get a different view and data.
I’ve been with my OURA since Covid first began, when I learned the NBA and WNBA “pods” were using it. I can say that sleep and wellness has been the best ever with it. Both my husband and I use them and even he is loving it. They could even be considered as our wedding rings as we both have the same silver rings. We are never without them!
Agree! I’ve been wearing ŌURA for over a year and I love it as it’s very holistic. Next level would be adding a feature for jet lag/time difference, for people who travel often!
The #1 factor that has increased all aspects of my sleep - increased deep and REM, lowered HR and increased HRV is FASTING!! I throw in a couple all day fasts and the night following I have the most insane sleep results. Also the longer I leave between my last meal and bed time I have higher results. Aim for at least 3 hours but 4 is ideal! Ours is THE BEST 🩵
We should connect. I would love to share some tips I have learned from building https://coya.life/executives/
4 years in with ŌURA helped me in my recovery from chemotherapy with my sleep! I got a whoop the other day and honestly sent it back because I just preferred Oura.
My ŌURA literally helped to save my life when I almost died of a septic infection. I wear a Garmin and an oura, probably forever!
