Last week, the Tobacco Control Data Initiative (TCDI), together with the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), held a 4-day meeting to reflect on our first year of partnership, plan for the year ahead, and onboard new in-country sustainability partners. Building on the momentum of TCDI 2.0—a phase focused on fostering local ownership and sustainability—our discussions highlighted the critical role partnerships play in deepening and expanding tobacco control efforts. By bringing together new and existing partners, we aim to ensure that our work remains impactful, locally-driven, and sustainable long-term.
