For the weekend : No CEO should go through such a day. Cloud solutions are designed for high availability, but achieving no single point of failure requires careful architectural design. This includes multi-region deployments, redundancy for dependent services, and robust error handling. Thank you Ankith Singh for your insights into the CrowdStrike BSOD issue. 'The size of the impact is quite unsettling, considering its impact on the basic essentials like Hospitals, Police and others. Microsoft and CrowdStrike will surely investigate, but assuming a third party, even governmental agency, take a deeper dive of the overall architecture and production deployment processes and the environment. Based on a high level from the CrowdStrike CEO, it appears that a file update caused the issue. However, there are some fundamental technical questions /concerns - 1) There appears to be a Single Point of Failure - A single deployment can cause such a widespread impact.  2) It doesn't seem like this file was incrementally deployed, which would have exposed the issue with lot less impact.  3) The testing process seems to have a gap. How was this tested before it was deployed to Production.  4) And then the question of the Cloud Infrastructure, and similar to 1). How does Microsoft deploy and let its third-party partners deploy across zones/regions?'
