TikTok is not going anywhere, at least for a few more months! 😉 No need to panic. So let's not panic, shall we? As we wait and see how things will unfold with this entire ban, I suggest sitting and thinking about your strategy and exploring other channels for video content. I'm talking about Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn's new video feed (why not?). Check them out, see how they work, and start sharing videos there to build your audience. Seize the moment, and take advantage of the opportunities now. And as always, don't keep all your eggs in one basket. 😉

LinkedIn has finally rolled out a feature I’ve been eagerly anticipating.. Did you notice it lately? A dedicated ‘Video TAB’ running in beta. If you create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels or other platforms, you know how crucial the first few seconds are for capturing your audience's attention. That's where a strong hook comes in. An effective hook is the key to getting users to stop scrolling and actually watch your entire video. It quickly piques their interest and makes them want to see more. Some examples of powerful hooks for short-form videos include: - Starting with a surprising statistic or fact - Asking an intriguing or thought-provoking question - Highlighting a common pain point or challenge your audience faces - Teasing an exciting reveal or surprising twist In my upcoming free 1-hour webinar happening on the 18th April, I'll dive deep into different types of hooks that work well for short, snackable videos. I'll also share tips for finding trending, viral content to model in your own videos. Want to take your short-form video strategy to the next level? Comment “interested”.

You'll quickly find that this doesn't work: Post Post Post ... As much as we'd like for this to be the case, social media is more involved than that. As creators, we can't just blindly press the submit button on content and expect that our follower base will start multiplying. Doesn't work that way. "But what about those TikTokers that go viral?!" "But I had a reel that got thousands of views with no followers!" "My first LinkedIn post got 1000 reactions!" These are outlier scenarios. Not every piece of content we share will have a viral response, and unless you want to invest all of your time and energy into creating viral content, it's not a sustainable strategy. BrandGhost focuses on building a foundation of valuable evergreen content. With the time you save from our platform, you could: - Dedicate it to viral content - Focus on other parts of your business - ... or just relax and spend time with your family We focus on content systems that are sustainable for you.

Everyone’s buzzing about LinkedIn’s new video feed, but here’s what no one’s mentioning: ...for some of us, video is actually the lowest-performing content format. I know—it’s hard to believe, especially since we were hoping for those early-adopter benefits!! Maybe it’s the style of videos I’ve tested so far, or maybe it’s related to my follower count, but one thing remains unclear: Is LinkedIn pushing video content to the forefront purely based on discoverability, or are those with larger followings naturally getting more traction because LinkedIn amplifies videos that already engage your audience? It’s an interesting contrast to platforms like TikTok, where someone with zero followers can still go viral. TikTok thrives on content that’s immediately engaging, regardless of who you are, whereas LinkedIn, like Instagram, may be prioritizing videos that perform well within your existing network. Video may be king, but I'm still figuring out its court. Got any hot takes to share?

I generated 1.3 million impressions in the last 5 months and how you can too: (Revealing my proven strategy to grow from 0 to 1.3 million impressions) 1. Share more personal stories to build trust. → It connects your audience on a deeper level. 2. Support small creators and always be kind. → Small creators help you more than big ones. 3. Invest 70% of your time on hooks and CTAs. → Hooks stops scrolling, and CTAs drive actions. 4. Offer free guides and ask them to comment or DM. → Your free content should be more valuable than paid content. 5. Keep writing content without taking a day off. → Write daily but post 2-4 times weekly with consistency. On LinkedIn, virality doesn’t depend on the number of followers. Virality is possible when you provide value through your content. But virality can bring you more followers and ultimately more leads. P.S. What’s the one tip you found most useful for going viral?

LinkedIn is introducing a new video tab, currently in beta testing with select users. 📲 Instead of the traditional post tab, this new tab leads to a vertical video feed, reminiscent of TikTok's FYP experience. What's even more intriguing? Users in this test group who upload their own vertical videos may reach a wider audience beyond their immediate connections. This presents a fantastic opportunity to expand your content's reach! Did you know that video content is highly preferred on LinkedIn? Recent reports show that 85% of users prefer watching videos over reading text. This suggests that the video tab might soon become a staple feature. However, the question remains: should you craft a dedicated video strategy for LinkedIn, or continue repurposing your engaging Reels, TikToks, or Shorts? It's an important consideration as we navigate this new era of LinkedIn content. I had a sneak peek at the video feed starting last Monday, and the content is impressive! It's focused on short, engaging edu-tainment that keeps viewers informed and entertained. Curious to see how it looks? Check out this example, and get ready to enhance your LinkedIn presence with captivating video content! #Creators featured in this #Reel ⬇️ Leah Smart Klaudia Zawrotna Nicole Waters Mark Valasik Alexia Androulakis Shadé Zahrai MBA LLB Brenda N Michael Cox Christine Polite The Lipstick Lesbians Media LinkedIn News LinkedIn Learning If these creators are in your network please tag them in the comments below for credit. 🤳🏼 Have you spotted #LinkedInBETAvideo in your feed?👇
