Words Matter! No more so than on your website! ⭐ A quick tip for you today........ Head to the homepage of your website and check out your heading. Does it accurately describe the rest of the content on the page? Does it say what you do for your customers? How or where? (depending on what’s important to your business) If it’s ambiguous or ‘airy fairy’ and doesn’t truly reflect the rest of the content on that page… 🚫 It’s likely that Google will struggle to index or rank it. So do yourself and Google a favour, start there. Work on making your title the best it can be. An SEO-optimised H1 heading should include relevant keywords that accurately describe the content, be unique to each page, and visually stand out on the page. ✅ It's crucial to strike a balance between optimising for search engines and creating a good user experience. Ever got déjà vu while browsing a website's pages? 👀 “This content looks familiar,” you think. “I’ve come across this before”. Content that is similar to or an exact copy of content on another page or website is called duplicate content. Around 30% of all web content falls within the category. So chances are, you have it on your website as well. 😬 Is there a penalty for duplicate content from Google? As of now, not really. But it can throw off search engines, making it harder for your page to rank. Looking to beef up your link equity? Then, duplicate content is not your friend. Because if you create internal links between two identical pages, the link equity for both gets diluted. Duplicate content can also mess with your link-building efforts. Quick fix: slap on a canonical tag or redirect duplicates to a preferred spot. Finally, when Google sees two identical pages, it will show only one in search results - and that might not be the page you’d actually prefer. Best bet? Keep it fresh with original content whenever you can! What do you think of duplicate content? Have you ever had issues? #seotips #duplicatecontent #searchengineoptimization

How Duplicate Content Can Severely Impact Your Website's Ranking? I've seen firsthand how duplicate content can severely impact your website's ranking. Search engines prioritize unique, valuable content, and when they encounter duplicates, they struggle to determine which version to rank. This can lead to lower visibility and traffic. Key issues include: 1. Diluted Authority: Backlinks may spread across duplicates, weakening your site's authority. 2. Indexing Problems: Search engines may skip indexing your content altogether. 3. User Experience: Users may find it frustrating to encounter the same information repeatedly. Are you aware of the duplicate content on your site? How do you ensure your content remains unique and engaging? Let’s discuss strategies to overcome this challenge! if you know let me know in comments #seotips #seojobs #interviewquestions #mncjobs #duplicatecontent

Are You Continuesly Publishing Content On Your Website? Then STOP ❌ Instead, try this... Many websites have multiple blog posts that receive little to no traffic, yet they continue posting new content. Stop wasting your resources and focus on optimizing your existing content instead. Here's how: 1. Google Search Console: Filter for the last 3 months. 2. Export Keyword Data: Filter for keywords in positions 5-15. 3. Identify Pages: Note down the pages corresponding to these keywords. Pages ranking between 5-15 are almost there. Google thinks they're good but they need a little boost to reach the top 3. Now, refresh your content: - Update meta titles and heading tags. - Write new sections. - Enhance existing sections. - Perform internal linking. - Focus on long-tail keywords. Optimizing your existing content is a far more effective strategy for growing your website than constantly publishing new posts. 🙋♂️ Want to improve your website rankings? Let’s connect over DM!

What to do after you identify Entities? 🙄 Once you've identified relevant entities, you can: Incorporate Entities in Content: Use entities to make your content more contextually rich and search engine optimized. This includes using them in titles, meta descriptions, and throughout the body of your content. Optimize for User Intent: Entities help you align your content with what users are actually searching for, improving the match between user queries and your content. Enhance Knowledge Graph Presence: By optimizing your content with relevant entities, you can improve your visibility in Google's Knowledge Graph, which can lead to better SERP features like rich snippets. Improve Topical Authority: Creating detailed entity maps and using entities to establish context can improve your website's topical authority. #contentwriting #contentstrategy #seostrategy #seo2024 #seotips

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 — it can lower rankings, reduce traffic, and bring fewer leads over time. Refreshing content is a great way to fix this, but it needs to be done the right way. Instead of asking, “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿?” let’s shift the focus to: “𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲?” The question is: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿? I've seen people try things like changing page titles, meta descriptions, or headings, and even copying competitors by using similar subheadings. Honestly? That approach misses the point. Here are simple ways to make your content more valuable and helpful: 📊 𝗔𝗱𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮: * Update your content with the latest industry statistics or trends to keep it relevant. 🎤 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: * Look for questions people often ask about your topic and include clear answers in your content. 📚 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: * Add examples, case studies, or personal experiences that your audience can relate to. 🖼️ 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻: * Add diagrams, step-by-step images, or videos to make your content easier to understand. 📄 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: * Create simple templates, worksheets, or guides that people can use right away. 📈 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄: * Break down complex ideas into small, clear steps that anyone can follow. 🗺️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁: * If you have several articles on the same topic, combine them into one complete guide. 📕 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀: * Add advice or quotes from experts to make your content more credible. The goal is to refresh your content so it’s not only up-to-date but also more useful than anything else out there. This way, your audience will trust and return to your content time and again. #seo #contentdecay #SEOTips #SearchEngineOptimization

Here's a tip based on an audit I was doing the other day. One thing that's important to talk about when looking at keywords or entities or anything you think you should be ranking for is INTENT and the type of content that matches that intent. When auditing some of the older blogs we'd written for a client, I saw that while the intent matched up (education), the Google SERPs indicated that people also wanted to view products. And our blog didn't focus on products. So, in the audit, that's something that we noted we should update. Not just to mention products, but to link to them and make it easy for users to browse and buy. When you're reviewing older content on your site -- which you should be regularly doing! -- be sure you're looking at what features the search pages promote for those queries. Videos? Images? Products/purchasing options? Comparisons (A vs. B)? Take note of those things and consider them when updating or creating your own content! #seoaudit #contentaudit #contentplan #seoplan #seostrategy #contentstrategy

2mobrilliant advice! I never knew this, Google assessing the metadata and content of your website to decide whether or not to serve you up for queries. If there's hardly any content, and your meta data isn't right, Google doesn't know what they hell you are. Now, tech companies often get quite clever with their wording, meaning that Google finds it hard to place them! Doh!
