#WeAreCreative
Promoting from within is more than just filling a role—it's about showing your team that growth and opportunity are genuinely on the table. When you elevate your existing talent, you’re not just finding someone who can do the job; you’re investing in someone who already understands the ins and outs of your company. They know the culture, the quirks, and the goals, which means they can hit the ground running with less of a learning curve.
Plus, there’s something incredibly motivating about seeing a colleague rise through the ranks. In the long run, promoting from within builds a stronger, more cohesive team. It shows that you value your people and their potential, and it creates a culture where continuous learning and development are not just encouraged but expected. It’s a win for everyone involved—employees feel valued, and the company benefits from their deeper commitment and expertise.
Congratulations Kate Foley Stitt!

During my time at Clorox, I had the chance to sit down with CCO Troy Datcher, who was the leader of the sales function and brought forward the company’s approach to sports marketing.
Sad to hear of his recent passing. He seemed to love giving back, so I wanted to pass along three pieces of advice he shared with me to ensure a long career:
1) Get in the driver seat of your career — don’t stick in the passenger side. That means don’t limit yourself to a job description and find an area where the company could use support and take initiative. If you can show leadership across functions, people will notice. You’ll build a strong reputation outside of your direct colleagues, which is important for advancement.
2) Surround yourself with diversity — if you’re only around friends and like-minded people, you’ll be limited. But find people with different abilities and experiences, and you’ll end up with a great result.
3) Listen first, pitch last. Take notice of the other person or brand’s challenges and think strategically of what could solve those problems.

“I approach roles as: This is my last job.” bit.ly/4ev3OTK
In a new interview with Fortune Magazine, PepsiCo North America CEO Ram Krishnan discussed that employees shouldn’t worry about their next promotion—but instead focus on how to perform their next job.
He also adds how employees in a new role “own the past, the present, and the future.”

A vulnerable and exciting update for my network:
A little over a year ago, when I joined The Admin Effect as their Chief Marketing Officer, I stepped out of my comfort zone and really put my imposter syndrome to the test. I could confidently tell an office how many seminars they would need to hold to meet their growth goals for the year. I could identify gaps in branding and deliverables for a company, create and execute a social media calendar, and organize a client events schedule.
However, I had no idea what Firelight was. I didn't know what a replacement application entailed. I didn't fully grasp the difference between a carrier and a custodian. The only thing I knew about a Roth IRA was simply that I had one. And don't even ask me to explain the difference between qualified and non-qualified funds. The list goes on...
I share this because, in a matter of months, with the guidance and support of our incredible team, I learned what Firelight was (spoiler: it's not the song by Owl City). I learned the significance of IRA types in applications, and the difference between qualified and non-qualified funds. This knowledge allowed me to develop effective case management training, forecast how many applications our team can complete in a day, and streamline money movement timeframes and strategies.
Let my experience during the past year be a testament to the true power of The Admin Effect. Our service offering, and ESPECIALLY our training program, was created with the framework that I followed to get to this point, and that our team has followed as well.
A special shoutout to our Leadership Team for pushing me toward this opportunity and giving me the grace and confidence to take on this new role. I love what I do, and I feel lucky to be able to do it every day. Cheers to an exciting year ahead! 🥂
We have exciting news!!
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Brooke Peters to the permanent position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at The Admin Effect!
Brooke has been an integral part of our organization, originally serving as our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Her exceptional leadership, dedication, and deep understanding of our business operations shone brightly last quarter when she stepped up as interim COO. During this period, Brooke mastered the entire NB process, implemented critical measurables, and began developing proprietary tools to showcase our data, driving our company forward.
In her new role as COO, Brooke will continue to oversee our marketing efforts while also taking charge of our daily operations, ensuring that our processes are streamlined, efficient, and perfectly aligned with our strategic goals. Her vision and expertise have set a strong foundation for our future success.
Join us in congratulating Brooke on this well-deserved promotion! We are incredibly proud and excited for what the future holds. 🌟👏

18 years ago today I started my journey in this industry. I was recently married (in March of that year) and coming off a stint as a missionary in Namibia. I needed a job and a friend mentioned he knew someone who was hiring. I had no idea what I was in for. That connection started my time in the Grocery Brokerage/CPG Industry.
The stops in this story have been: Store Door Merchandising to Harlow-HRK Sales & Marketing to Impact Group to Acosta Group, it has been a ride. That wasn't me leaving for greener pastures, by the way, that path was all because of mergers and acquisitions.
Those acquisitions meant learning new skills, facing new obstacles, trying new things and meeting new people. There have been many things that I never would have thought I would do or even be interested in. Fortunately this journey opened my eyes to new skill sets I didn't even know were in me.
I've learned a lot over the last 18 years and have a lot more to learn. Technology is changing at a rapid pace and that is allowing me to learn new things yet again.
Here's to the next 18, the next task, project, obstacle, learning opportunity, new thing to tackle and connection to make!
Happy Monday Friends!
I haven’t posted in a while because honestly, I have been quietly plotting my next move. Like too many of us out there, I was impacted by a layoff in my last role. After countless coffees, meetings, interviews, consulting projects and networking with lovely people who totally dug what I brought to the table yet role/timing/values/etc. didn’t align, I got real with myself. I decided the next chapter MUST do 3 things (otherwise: keep on walkin’):
Work stuff: leverage my strategic and creative expertise, expand my network and offer exposure to broader sectors of industry.
People stuff: enable connections with dynamic, sharp, kind and genuine people from varied backgrounds whom I can learn from and have FUN with.
Life stuff: offer a culture that embodies the values and boundaries I have around family and personal well being. (Probably the toughest ask of the three.)
Enter Pinnacle Performance Group, where I recently joined as Director, Consulting + Client Services (check us out below!).
Will it be uncomfortable to learn new significant areas of practice beyond retail / product design and development? Yes! (Still consulting there, too).
Do I stand to massively stretch and grow? Hell yes!
Does Pinnacle pass all my criteria and gut check? ✅
Here’s to everyone navigating change. The landscape looks very different than it did just a few short years ago and can leave you feeling vulnerable - despite how supported, successful or secure you may have felt in the past. I’ve learned that by staying true to YOU, leaning into your network and - most importantly- being open to walking through new doors, you may find really cool things on the other side.
Thanks to my peeps for the supportive messages below from Pinnacle’s post 🥰
Sometimes you meet people and think, “We need them on our team!” Kate is one of those people – and we’re excited to announce that she has joined Pinnacle Performance Group, as of today!

When she’s not at work, Kate enjoys traveling, hanging with her family, being outside, smart humor, old-school hip hop and creative design work.
