International Cat Day is a celebration that takes place annually on August 8th. It is a day to honor and appreciate our feline friends, recognizing their companionship and the joy they bring into our lives. Recognizing diverse and fun holidays like International Cat Day can foster a sense of community and engagement among employees. It provides an opportunity to connect on a personal level, share experiences, and create a positive and inclusive work environment. To celebrate International Cat Day at work, consider the following: Organize a "bring your cat to work" day or a virtual meet-and-greet for remote teams. Host a cat-themed trivia or costume contest. Encourage employees to share photos or stories of their cats. Make a donation to a local animal shelter in the company's name.

🐾 Celebrating International Assistance Dog Week: Heroes on Paws 🐾 This first week of August, we honor and celebrate the incredible contributions of assistance dogs in the lives of people with disabilities. At KnoWEwell, we recognize these skilled canines as more than just pets; they are vital companions who provide independence, security, and unconditional love. 🌟 Ways to Celebrate International Assistance Dog Week: Learn about different types of assistance dogs: Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs each have specific skills that support their human partners in unique ways. Share stories of assistance dogs and their handlers to raise awareness and appreciation. Support organizations that train and provide assistance dogs. These groups do incredible work and often rely on donations and volunteers. Advocate for the rights of individuals with assistance dogs to ensure they have access to public spaces and are not discriminated against. Thank an assistance dog handler you know for their courage and discuss how their dog has impacted their life. Assistance dogs do more than help with physical tasks—they also bring joy and enhanced well-being to their handlers. Let’s spread the word and show our support for these extraordinary animals and their handlers. #InternationalAssistanceDogWeek #ServiceDogs #UnconditionalSupport #KnoWEwell

Honoring Selflessness: Beyond Company Volunteer Days Today, on Pat Tillman's death anniversary, his legacy of selfless service resonates deeply. While company volunteer days are fantastic - fostering team spirit and giving back - true selflessness extends beyond those designated hours. Imagine the impact if we all carried that spirit into our communities every day. There's an elderly neighbor who could use help with groceries. A local animal shelter overflowing with animals longing for a walk. Maybe a park cleanup neglected after a long winter. These are the countless opportunities where your time can make a world of difference. Selflessness isn't about grand gestures. It's about looking around and identifying a need you can fulfill, big or small. It's about lending a hand without expecting anything in return. Pat Tillman walked away from a lucrative NFL career to serve his country. His sacrifice reminds us that true fulfillment often comes from putting others first. So, today, and every day, let's honor his legacy by: Seeking out volunteer opportunities in our communities: Find a cause that resonates with you and donate your time. Looking for everyday ways to help: Offer to help a struggling colleague, hold the door for someone with their hands full, or simply offer a kind word to someone who seems down. Remember, even the smallest acts of selflessness can have a ripple effect, creating a more connected and compassionate community. Let's strive to be the change we want to see, one selfless act at a time.

Missing your furry friend on your big day? 🐾 Don't worry! There are plenty of ways to include your pet in your wedding without them physically being there. Here's a few: 1.Create favors with a photo of your pet, or include a small photo of your pet in each favor bag. 2. Pet-Themed Decor: use a photo of your pet as a table centerpiece or create a memory table dedicated to your pet. 3. Write vows that mention your pet and the joy they bring to your life. 4. Make a donation to a local animal shelter or rescue organization in honor of your pet. 5. Use a cake topper that features your pet's likeness. 6. Create a signature cocktail or mocktail named after your pet. By incorporating these ideas, you can ensure that your beloved pet is a special part of your wedding day, even if they can't be there in person.

"Volunteering with Roundup River Ranch is like stepping into a world where being silly and playful is not just encouraged but celebrated. It’s a rare chance for adults to let loose and spread joy through playing." -Volunteer Grace During #NationalVolunteerWeek, we are celebrating and recognizing some of our dedicated volunteers, including Grace! 🫶Grace has spent countless hours volunteering at Roundup River Ranch, spreading camp love and joy wherever she goes! To anyone interested in volunteering, Grace has some valuable advice: 💛Embrace the experience: Be open to immersing yourself fully in the camp experience. Embrace the joy, the laughter and the silly moments. It’s a chance to let your inner child shine! Get messy, put your face in spaghetti, dance after breakfast! 💚Be flexible and patient: Volunteering at camp can be unpredictable, but that’s part of the adventure. Be flexible and patient, ready to adapt to changing situations and needs. Sign up for the opening campfire skit, even if you have stage fright! 🧡Prioritize connection: Take the time to connect with the campers, fellow volunteers and staff members. Building relationships and forming bonds is what makes the experience truly special. My camp friends have become not only my best friends, but truly a family. ❤️Celebrate the impact: Recognize the meaningful impact you’re making in the lives of the campers and their families. Even the smallest gestures can brighten someone’s day and create lasting memories. What you might see as a small moment, is a big moment to many of these families. Celebrate the bullseye (and the far misses too)! Read Grace's full interview at https://lnkd.in/gc4C33cb 🔗
