Celebrating small wins today. Progress, no matter how minor, is still progress. It’s easy to get caught up in the big picture and forget to acknowledge the little steps forward. Take a moment to recognise and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. #CelebrateSmallWins #PersonalGrowth

One of my favourite tactics for celebrating wins and giving your team recognition that is meaningful to them: Email a summary of the win to your own boss, perhaps even the CEO of the company, and cc your team member(s) who is responsible for the win. If your boss or CEO isn't a natural replier to emails, back channel a message to them and ask them to reply and acknowledge the win. It means more to your team that you'll ever realise to get recognition from those above you.

You may have a seen a post I shared a few weeks ago receiving an award and wondering why it took me a year to celebrate that win publicly (this photo is from that same event). Upon reflection, I've realized that my hesitance to celebrate is part of a larger pattern. I have never stopped to really celebrate my wins. I am guilty of constantly moving on to the next thing dismissing past achievements as if they were mere steps on an endless escalator. The win, once it's in the rearview mirror, somehow loses its sheen because it's "in the past." I cannot be the only one who is like this. Am I? Help me out here. But I am coming to understand that celebrating our achievements isn't about living in the past; it's about recognizing the journey and the growth that comes with each milestone. Many of us, myself included, are wired to look forward, to chase the horizon. There's always a new goal, a new challenge. And while that drive is valuable, it's equally important to pause, look back, and honour how far we've come. Our wins, big or small, are not just trophies to collect but reminders of our resilience, hard work, and the support we've had along the way. Even in writing this I know I will still find it challenging to do, so, I'm making a commitment to not only chase the future but to also honour the present and respect the past. I endeavour to celebrate my wins, to savour the moments of success, and to appreciate the journey because the future is never guaranteed. Will you join me in this practice if you have battled this same malady?

Ever heard someone tell you to celebrate the small wins? And ever find yourself not wanting to because the win just isn't big enough yet? I get it! I've been there, too. But it turns out the small win, like doing the dishes, isn't actually the thing we are celebrating. Let me tell you more. Check out my latest blog. Link in the comments.

If I could give every person one gift, it would be the ability to celebrate their wins! Celebrating small growth builds confidence so that you are ready to step into what’s next. Some weeks, celebrating is easy; other weeks, it's incredibly challenging. It's during those difficult weeks that finding reasons to celebrate becomes even more important because it signifies growth and resilience. Maybe your wins are small this week, and that’s okay. Meet yourself where you’re at – this is your journey. There are no failures, only winning or learning. So find a celebration and keep going. In six months, when you look back at where you’ve been, it might be hard to see your progress. However, if you keep a list of your wins, it becomes much easier to recognize and appreciate how far you've come. I encourage you to take a moment today to acknowledge your own wins. Reflect on a few things you're proud of this week, no matter how small. Each win, whether big or small, builds your confidence. Share your wins in the comments below. I would love to celebrate you. Keep shining! #WednesdayWins #CelebrateSuccess #WomenInBusiness #ProgressNotPerfection

We are generally terrible at celebrating our own wins. Then, we wonder why we burn out and struggle to understand whether we're achieving results. Set a milestone, achieve it, and celebrate it with a reward. Be proud of what you've accomplished, and put in the effort to showcase what you've done. Rinse, repeat, and do it again. I write about it here: https://lnkd.in/eEexqJnA
