That’s why we celebrate the milestones of individuals who have helped shape Tag through the years. joyel christi, Senior EUC Engineer, began his journey at Tag five years ago. He works from the Tag Americas Toronto, Canada location, and shares why he loves working at Tag: “The variety of work is what I love most. I often have a variety of challenges as I work with different teams across the globe. This means that I have an opportunity to gain an understanding of the industry and develop my problem-solving skills.” Joyel continues why he enjoys Tag, “Of course, for its culture! Tag provides a supportive work environment and flexible schedules to work from home or office which helps to increase output and creativity. On regular intervals, there are different fun activities to participate in. Thirsty Thursdays and delicious delights from our Test Kitchen are like a cherry on the cake.” As a hybrid worker, he shares how he breaks up his day when working virtually. “I start my day with a light workout from the comfort of my small home gym. I also take lunch and coffee breaks away from my desk. When I get an opportunity, I go for a short walk. Music is the best tool to unwind; I often listen to light music in the background when not in meetings or calls.” When asked what advice he would give new Tag employees, Joyel says, “Observe your surroundings and ask a lot of questions, as asking questions ensures clarity of expectation and it accelerates the learning process. Career MOM at MAG! For nearly 15 years, I poured my heart into the hospitality industry as a hotelier. It was more than just a job, it was a part of who I was. But when the pandemic hit, everything changed. Like so many others, I faced an uncertain future, and I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life: leaving a career I loved, to start over in a completely new industry. Walking away from a managerial role into unfamiliar territory wasn’t just intimidating, it was terrifying. Could I find a new path? Would I succeed in a different field? These questions weighed heavily on me. Transitioning industries is never easy, but with the world shifting so rapidly, I knew I had to take a leap of faith. Then I discovered My Amazon Guy, and everything began to change. Joining the Recruitment team at MAG was a life-changing opportunity that not only allowed me to restart my career but also restored my confidence in what I could achieve. From the very beginning, MAG felt different. A place where learning and teaching are deeply ingrained in the culture. This support system gave me the courage to embrace the unknown and the tools to succeed in a brand-new industry. What truly sets MAG apart is its unwavering focus on work-life harmony. For me, this has been transformational. For a long time, I worked in HR. While I enjoyed the rewarding parts of the role - supporting employees, guiding them through their first steps at the company, and interacting with people; the day-to-day tasks as an HR wasn't exciting. Marketing turned out to be something more. What’s been amazing about this transition is how much I genuinely enjoy the work I do now. Each day feels fresh and exciting. For the first time, work doesn’t feel like a grind or something I have to do. Instead, it feels like something I get to do. I look forward to Mondays, to new projects, and to the endless possibilities that come with being part of a dynamic, ever-evolving field like marketing. Sure, there are deadlines, late nights, and moments of uncertainty. But when you truly enjoy what you do, these moments don’t drain you - they drive you. Of course, transitions like this aren’t always smooth. It takes time to learn new skills, adapt to a completely different mindset, and master it. I’m still learning every day, and I’m genuinely excited to continue this journey, embrace new challenges, and keep growing. Maribeth Burton began her journey at Tag Americas exactly five years ago today! When reflecting on her time with Tag, Maribeth shares what she loves about her job, “Because Tag is a multifaceted marketing company with a diverse client list, my days are never boring. I love the ever-changing landscape of my work!”   A few years ago, Maribeth faced a health challenge, which over time has become a career highlight for her. “Tag fully supported me through that difficult time; I was able to focus on my health without fear of losing my job. I recovered and returned to my work and have been able to continue growing within the company. I’m so very thankful.” Because Maribeth works remotely, she understands the challenges other remote colleagues might face. “Staying connected is important—Microsoft Teams is a great way to communicate—and not just about work. It’s important we have those virtual ‘water cooler chats’ and check in on people you work with.” And how does she break up her day? “Taking care of yourself is so important—be sure to drink lots of water and don’t skip a meal, which is so easy to do if you’re busy at your desk all day. I make it a point to step away from my desk and eat at regular intervals. I also make time to walk outside in the sun for some vitamin D.” For new Tag joiners, Maribeth has this advice: “Be sure to embrace technology… and be intentional about getting to know other people at Tag to learn about what they do and learn more about the company.” Thanks for all you do, Maribeth! As the new CEO at Pappelina, I've embarked on a journey that fills me with immense joy and excitement every day. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, the joy seems out of reach. This is a crucial moment for self-reflection. Ask yourself: "Do I have the power to change my current situation?" If the joy in your work has dimmed, consider what steps you might take to reclaim it. This might involve seeking new challenges within your current role, connecting with colleagues and mentors for support, or even learning new skills to open up different opportunities.   However, there comes a time when the best path to finding joy might lead outside our current workplaces. It's a daunting prospect, but change is often the precursor to growth and newfound happiness. If you find yourself in a situation where the possibilities for joy and growth are limited, I encourage you to dare to look for a new job. A year ago this week I got a phone call from Kelsey P. that legitimately changed my life forever. After a long time hoping to work at Osano, a company I had gotten the chance to admire from afar, she was calling to let me know that an offer was coming my way for my dream role at the dream company. It dawned on me almost immediately how big a moment this was. A combination of luck, determination, and even more luck had landed me in a different world entirely. Osano is a company that thinks differently than most companies. They care so deeply about their customers, their products, and their employees - but even more about doing the right thing. I get to see this first hand daily. Our team is truly special. A few weeks ago, I got to spend time in person with them in Chicago and it just reminded me of how incredibly lucky I feel to go to work with these people who are not only experts in their fields, but legitimately cool people as well. I haven't lost sight since day 1 of how unusual it is to really love going to work everyday and really admire the folks I work with. Getting here required a lot of luck and I'm sure that luck will continue to play a role in my future success here at Osano, but I'm perfectly fine with that.
