HOT TAKE on this Friday but I truly feel for my candidates and this has become an increasing problem. Please stop saying "open to ANY time zone" if you are going to reject someone not in yours! As a Recruiter I send over the most qualified talent for the role and it has become increasingly upsetting to have to deliver the news to a candidate that they weren't even considered when their resume is a carbon copy of the job description. IF you are a Hiring Manager and you only want applicants in a certain time zone, please just say that! This market is tough enough on candidates already. The Effect is getting the hopes up of INCREDIBLE talent in this market to then just let them down that you went with another candidate. That is all, Happy Friday! #recruitertips #hiring #jobdescriptions
