How to get into ✨ Aesthetic Medicine✨ as a Junior Doctor A career in Aesthetic Medicine isn't as straight forward as people think. There's a a few things you need to think about before going on this journey. But here's the easiest way I have found for having a great career in aesthetic medicine. ✨ Make sure you've completed F1 and F2 before starting this journey - In aesthetic medicine being a prescriber can be a big help. It's worth waiting until you've got full GMC registration before embarking on this journey ✨ Get qualified - There's an overwhelming amount of options for aesthetic qualifications. Choose one that suits your budget and goals. A level 7 qualification is very expensive for many but can expand career options when applying for jobs. ✨Start a company or get a job in a clinic - There's pros and cons to both. Starting in a clinic you'll likely need a Level 7 qualification to get hired. Starting your own clinic can be a great option for flexibility but requires money to start and provides less security. Here's a great article from Medic Footprints for more information. Also feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions. #aestheticmedicine #medicine #careeradvice #careersinmedicine #smallbusinessowner #beauty #clinic #medicalstudent

In recent years, Korean dramas have brought up the business opportunity of “travel + medical beauty”, and medical beauty can make one's appearance look better, attracting many people with little money to go there, but behind the cheap consumption, there may be transnational medical disputes with no way to get compensation; for medical clinics, most of the clinics that you will encounter are individually owned and operated, for example, post-operative injuries, prices, and service flow, etc., may be the reason why “medical cockroaches” are on the doorsteps of the medical beauty. Korea's popular light medical beauty, aimed at the influence of the “Korean Wave” small capitalist, Taiwan Association of Cosmetic Surgeons, former chairman of the board of directors of the Chang Song-Yuan, said that the local industry will often instill in consumers, “long-term maintenance to delay the concept of aging,” so the energy of the injection is usually not very strong, so the effect will not be long-lasting, and encourages customers to go back to the enhancement of the after three to four months, even the clinic staff who are entitled to the staff price, are still because of the price of Korea, the clinic staff will be able to get the treatment, but the clinics will also be able to provide the treatment. Even the clinic staff who are entitled to the staff rate will still go to Korea because it is cheaper. Zhang Songyuan said that although the hit once, the effect will not last long, but the consumer's mentality can usually make up for it, 2000 yuan (about 66 U.S. dollars) to maintain 3 to 4 months, but in Taiwan once may have to ask for the price of 20,000 yuan (about 656 U.S. dollars), just like eating a night of 50 yuan of beef noodle, not good if touching the nose even if it is not good, but if a night of 2,000 yuan and difficult to eat, the consumer will certainly be more calculated. But if it is $2,000 a night and the food is bad, the consumer will definitely make a better calculation. “The fleece comes off the sheep's back”, said Elle Medical Group Chairman Chang Shan Shan, many people like to travel to South Korea to do aesthetic treatments, cheap price is a big pull, to the recent often heard of the ‘Phoenix Wave’, for example, the price difference is not too big on the international level, but South Korea may be one-third of Taiwan to one-fourth of the local, most likely because of the equipment itself is a fake.

Why are Medical Professionals Thriving in Aesthetics: Plus A Guide to Getting Started! ☑️The aesthetic medicine industry is seeing tremendous growth, worth an estimated £6billion. ☑️The depth of training, experience and dedication to patient care imbued in #doctors #nurses #pharmacists and #dentists provides a bedrock for confidence in a practitioner. ☑️Medical professionals are placed to create a fresh start in a newly regulated sector. The demand for aesthetic treatments is undeniable, and the need to meet this demand has never been greater. Why pursue aesthetic medicine? 1. Achieve better work/life balance Flexible hours, as a dentist or doctor, you’re familiar with late nights and unpredictable hours. A career in the aesthetics industry allows you more control over your own working hours. It’s that simple. 2. Your patients are actually happy to see you. Most patients see their doctor because they are suffering with illness or medical problems. Few people go to the doctor or dentist because they want to. They go because they have to. But in aesthetic medicine, most of your clients are there by choice. They are excited to maintain and boost their appearance with treatments. 3. The chance to become “self directed” You don’t have to spend your entire career working for someone else; you can work for yourself instead. The freedom and autonomy that come with being your own boss are unmatched, and you can gain the ability to shape your future in line with your personal and professional goals. 4. Join a growing industry As beauty standards evolve and non-invasive treatments become more popular, the demand for skilled practitioners in the field is surging. People are excited to get these treatments, and many are willing to pay to get them from trained medical professionals like yourself. 5. Express your creativity Aesthetic medicine is as much an art as it is a science. Beyond the technical skills required for treatments, practitioners have the unique opportunity to harness their creativity, helping patients enhance their authentic beauty. 6. Make more money Let’s face it: aesthetic treatments, when done right, can be lucrative. As the demand for these treatments continues to grow, so does the potential for higher earnings. HOW TO GET STARTED: Training is readily available across the UK. However two gaps exist. The first is “theory to practice” training without immediately finding a stream of patients can lead to a lack of confidence and doubt. The second is the business gap, the simple fact that operations sales and marketing can be a daunting prospect. Skin Within Aesthetics offers a unique solution. Highly experienced practitioners providing an in-depth aesthetics induction, business insights and operational structures. However the key that enables #medical professionals to transition… The fact that we continue to support and mentor your launch and startup into the profession. https://lnkd.in/eSCb6qvH

I’m about to touch on an interesting and controversial topic in the medical aesthetics industry. Experience and Compensation I want to raise an important point about the dynamics between Aesthetic Providers and Medical Spa Practices regarding Experience and Compensation as well as the growing appeal of independent practice models. Let’s break this down: Why Do MedSpas Want Experienced Injectors? It’s not just about the skillset or tenure—it’s about business leverage: Established Patient List: Providers with 2-3 years of experience often have loyal patients who trust them and are likely to follow them to a new location. Instant Revenue Stream: By hiring such injectors, MedSpas can shortcut the time and cost it takes to build their own patient base. Less Training, More Earning: These injectors are typically ready to hit the ground running, generating income immediately without the need for extensive training. The Split payment Model: Why MedSpas Pay a Percentage MedSpas offer branding, facilities, devices and marketing, but the tradeoff is often a revenue split that leaves the injector with only a small portion of the treatment fees. For injectors, this can feel unfair when the patients are loyal to them, not the MedSpa. The Alternative, The Independent Practice: Enter CloudMedSpas, which empower Aesthetic Providers to: Keep 100% of Treatment Fees: This means injectors earn the full value of their work. Maintain Ownership of Their Patients: Instead of "sharing" their patient base with a MedSpa, providers retain full control over their relationships. Operate with Flexibility: Independent practitioners can choose their schedule, treatments, and pricing. Access Support Without Revenue Splits: Platforms like CloudMedSpas provide resources (e.g., facilities, devices, scheduling tools, access to products and supplies) for a flat fee or low-cost structure, eliminating the need for revenue sharing. Why This Matters For injectors who have worked hard to build their patient base, this model is appealing because: Fair Compensation: Their earnings reflect their efforts and relationships. Autonomy: They’re no longer tied to the policies or branding of a MedSpa. Scalability: They can grow their practice on their terms. Final Thought The Traditional MedSpa model worked when independent practice options were limited, but platforms like CloudMedSpas are changing the game. They allow injectors to step away from traditional splits and take full ownership of their practice and earnings. If you’ve built a loyal patient base, transitioning to independence could be the smartest move. Would you like advice on starting as an independent aesthetic practitioner contact CloudMedSpas or Advancing Aesthetics powered by CloudMedSpas Copied: Ignacio Fanlo Shannon Hay Seeberan Terri Ross Erika Feinberg, MA Human Dynamics Ciro Moura
