I am "LUCKY" Entrepreneur. Family: My parents provided invaluable backing, and my brother contributed financially, so we didn’t need to rely on our parents for monetary support. Friends: I’ve been lucky to build strong friendships throughout my journey. These friends have supported my ideas and provided crucial emotional support. AND LAST Myself-I consistently stood by my idea, even during challenging times, and made significant sacrifices in my 20s. I feel like my 1st inning(5 Years) has concluded where majorly I was thriving through business and learning the market; and i believe my 2nd inning to be more of value creation, scalability and EXECUTION. #businessjourney #business #startupbusiness

Shame is a terrible dinner guest ... Have you ever thought about the role shame plays in running a business? It's like the lurking guest at the table who nobody invited, but it's forever pulling up a seat and scooting closer, wanting to get in on everything that's not quite going as planned and then comparing it to the dreams you had when you first started (and you knew so much less than you know now). "This is taking longer than it should" it accuses. "When will we get there? We should be there by now. Maybe we just need to turn one more corner. Oh ... look what so and so is doing over there." Too often in the entrepreneurial space, we compare ourselves to the bright exteriors of others who are running businesses, believing their trajectory to be a continuous arrow pointing upward and to the right. But perhaps one of the most rewarding parts of doing the work we do at Amplify is getting to sit in a space with real business owners in real honesty and look at the numbers together. Opening your Profit + Loss Statement to someone is vulnerable to the point of discomfort because you can't dress it up, and often it reveals some space you're forever trying to improve. Maybe it shows something you're embarrassed or insecure about. But that's also the complete joy of this work. It's a reminder to me daily that running a business is HARD work (not that I usually need the reminder). Very few people start out knowing everything they need to know, which means we have to learn by trial and error. And the good news is that letting someone else in means it's not all resting on your shoulders, and that's GOOD. Sit down at a table with another business owner who's willing to pull back the curtain and you will find a fast and knowing friend. Shame is a terrible dinner guest. We absolutely will not know everything. We won't aways we growing. We will mess up and start again. That's just the truth and beauty of it. Find a safe place to be super honest about your numbers, and see how it goes. It's one of our favorite spaces to inhabit because great things usually come of it. #entrepreneurship #amplify #business #shame #vulnerability #profitandloss

Recently, I was flipping through a book about management, and I realised: all the articles talked about strategy, planning, execution. All important, no doubt. But something felt missing. Then it hit me: Where were the stories of good luck? Where were the tales of happy accidents and unexpected twists of fate? We often forget that luck and coincidence play a role in every success story. Think of the scientist who stumbles upon a groundbreaking discovery while looking for something else. Or the entrepreneur who meets their future business partner by chance at a coffee shop. These moments of serendipity can change the course of a life, a business, even an entire industry. I remember one such lucky moment vividly. We were in the early days of Re-feel. We had no stores, no experience, and no brand value. We were trying to sell franchises for a business that didn't even exist yet. It was almost laughable. One day, a friend brought an acquaintance to our office who was curious about the cartridge refilling industry. Our friend knew we were trying to do something in this area, so he made the introduction. We showed this guy everything we had on paper. And that was all we had—just plans and processes, no actual success to show. It felt like we were selling a dream, which, honestly, we were. Incredibly, within an hour, we closed the deal. We could hardly believe it ourselves. We were on the brink of giving up, and suddenly, we had our first franchise. This was pure luck. The fact that someone was even interested, let alone ready to invest in our business, was unbelievable. But sometimes, that's all it takes—a chance meeting, a lucky break, and a bit of faith. The truth is, we can't control everything. Sometimes, the stars align and good things happen. Other times, a chance encounter opens a door we never knew existed. As entrepreneurs, we need to be prepared for both the expected and the unexpected. We need to be able to recognise opportunities when they present themselves, even if they come in disguise. And we need to be grateful for the lucky breaks that come our way. #entrepreneurship #luck #coincidence #serendipity #success #refeel

The Brutal Truth About Entrepreneurship: My Rs.75000 Mistake💔 I poured my heart and soul into my business, crafting products with love and care. I was convinced I had a winner. But... The First Rejection 😔 The first potential customer walked away, unimpressed. "Not what I'm looking for," they said. I grew up playing baseball my entire life, and the best hitters were aggressive! The best hitters practiced the craft, and during the games, they became very aggressive. In otherwords, they never looked to walk. They looked to put the ball in play. 🧢 Business ownership is the same. We can't be swinging at balls out of the strike zone, but we also can't wait for the perfect pitch! ⚾️ I'm amazed how many people sit back and wait on others to innovate before taking action. 😬 They often want others to take risks for them, and that's not how entrepreneurship works. 🤷♂️ Minimizing risk also minimizes reward. You're either an entrepreneur or you're not. 🤔 Stop waiting for others. Instead, go solve problems and chase your dreams! 🙌 You can do it, we can help! ❤️ #laundromatmillionaire #buildthatbuilding #BoostYourProfits

Here's a bit of Monday morning inspiration... 18 years ago: rejected by the Dragons! Today: outsold Monopoly and worth £96M! 🎲💥 Back in 2004, Rachel Lowe pitched her board game, Destination, on Dragon’s Den, asking for £75,000. She was rejected, with Dragons thinking the idea wouldn’t take off. But guess what? Her cab-driver-inspired board game outsold Monopoly in its first year! 🚕💨 Rachel went on to secure a deal with Hamleys, and the game became a massive hit. Today, Rachel Lowe has been awarded an MBE for services to business and has launched other successful products, with a net worth of £96M. 💼 Her response to the Dragons’ rejection? “I don’t need to say anything—the numbers speak loud and clear.” Just goes to show, rejection can be a stepping stone to success! P.S. Did you know she outsold Monopoly? 😲 #entrepreneur #entrepreneursstory #femalefounder #dragonsden #dragonsdenrejection #storyofsuccess #overcome #adversity

When did your entrepreneurial journey begin? My love for business started way before I even realized it. Entrepreneurship isn’t just a job—it’s a lifestyle, a passion, and something I’ve embraced from a young age. If you love the hustle like I do, you know exactly what I mean. 💪 Curious to hear more about my entrepreneurial journey and how you can turn your passion into a thriving business?
