Welcome back to the SEO Writing Masterclass. I'm Ameen Younas, and with me is my brother, Mobeen Younas. In today's episode, we're going to talk about the heart of SEO writing: creating informative content. Mobeen Younas: That's right, Ameen. Informative content is what drives traffic to your site and keeps your audience engaged. It's not just about stuffing keywords into your articles; it's about providing real value to your readers. Ameen Younas: To start, you need to choose topics that are relevant to your audience's interests and needs. Use your keyword research to identify subjects that people are searching for, but also consider what unique insights or expertise you can offer. Mobeen Younas: Once you have your topic, it's time to focus on the content itself. Start with a strong introduction that grabs your reader's attention and clearly states what they will learn. Then, structure your article with clear headings and subheadings to make it easy to read and navigate. Ameen Younas: Absolutely, Mobeen. And don't forget to back up your points with credible sources and data. This not only boosts your credibility but also helps build trust with your audience. Mobeen Younas: That's a great point, Ameen. Another important aspect is to keep your content fresh and updated. The world is constantly changing, and so is the information people are looking for. Regularly updating your content ensures it remains relevant and valuable to your readers. Ameen Younas: To wrap up, creating informative content is about more than just SEO. It's about establishing yourself as a trustworthy source of information and building a loyal audience. By focusing on the needs and interests of your readers, you can create content that not only ranks well but also truly resonates with your audience. Mobeen Younas: Thanks for tuning in to today's episode. Next time, we'll dive into the technical side of SEO writing with on-page optimization techniques. Until then, keep writing and keep informing!

Google's Guidelines on Creating Helpful Content Wondering, how to create helpful, people-first content? Google has already released its Guidelines on Creating Helpful Content in March 2024. Content writers must adopt this holistic approach to create content that satisfies both users and bots. In simple and straight words, content must follow the E-E-A-T principle. Here's everything that content writers must know about E-E-A-T ( Expertise, Experience, Authority, and Trust) 1. Expertise: Ensure the content is being created by qualified, vetted, expert writers in the respective domain. 2. Experience: To easily connect with potential clients, it is important to share personal experiences and case studies relevant to the product or service. 3. Authority: In order to build brand authority, try to add links to reputable resources, and get peer reviews. 4. Trust: Be transparent and honest about the products or services you are marketing in your content. Maintain the brand's integrity by adding disclaimers when required. For detailed information on Google guidelines, we suggest following the official blog post: https://lnkd.in/gcXgDKWk

Let's be honest – your content is probably invisible to your ICP. No, a few more blog posts won't suddenly solve that. You need a content overhaul. Often, the solution isn't just producing more content – it's about producing “quality” content. As with any vague term, people struggle with what it means, so here it is: ✅ User-Centric • Your content should solve problems. Addresses the pain points, questions, and challenges of your ICP, thus it should provide value. • The value should come in the form of actionable information, insights, or solutions that the ICP finds truly helpful. • Also, it should be easy to understand: Clearly written with technical concepts explained in accessible language. (For example, as a tooltip aside of the piece). • Google’s mission is to “organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. ” It means it should be universally understandable, 8th grade level understandable. ✅ Search Optimized • Ideally, you should use the same keywords the ICP uses when searching for a solution, but please be careful with the “keyword inclusion” rules. • It is 2024 - the world of SGE, Gemini Advanced and the GPTs. Focus on search intent alignment instead. • Directly answer the questions searchers might ask in a clear, well-formatted page structure. ✅ Authoritative & Trustworthy • Everyone has a megaphone now, and you need to demonstrates expertise to cut it with both the users and the bots. • Quality content means a deep understanding of the tech landscape and your products/services, often backed by data. • Use data, research, or case studies to support your claims and establish credibility, and honestly, use any way to showcase credibility: physical address, landline, industry association badges, and certificates. Use all credibility marks you have to showcase that you are a legitimate organization and that you mean business. • But most of all - the quality content is original and insightful. It goes beyond the basics and offers a unique perspective or insights. ✅ Engaging • Avoid being overly technical or jargon-heavy - remember the 8th-grade readability level? Maintain a friendly and engaging voice, instead. • Use visually appealing images, videos, or infographics to break up text and enhance the experience (or use them as explainers to improve readability). • Use attention-grabbing titles and meta descriptions that encourage click-throughs. ✅ Shareable • Finally, you should optimize it for sharing on social platforms with tailored descriptions and images—it’s the norm. • But what signals quality is publishing content that offers insights your ICP will want to pass along to others in their field. Finally, because we all love figures, below is a single content piece that exemplifies quality. Yes, we spent double-digit hours writing it, but it has been months since it ranks for ~200 keywords and drives 1.4k visits daily. I’d say it was worth it.
