FYI: Charlie Brown killed the aluminum Christmas tree: By the mid-60s, the Aluminum Specialty Co. was selling 150,000 Evergleam Christmas trees annually. But then, in 1965, Charlie Brown chose the sad little pine tree over Lucy’s Mid-Century Modern metal one. By 1970, the Evergleam was extinct. Thanks a lot, Charlie Brown!
