At Capgemini, I'm witnessing how software-driven mobility is making life a lot easier for our automotive clients as they strive to reinvent their businesses around software, both in and out of the vehicle. Software-driven transformation (#SDT) promises many benefits such as: ✅ Increasing customer loyalty through transformed relationships ✅ Enhancing revenue flows by shifting from one-off purchases to lifecycle engagement ✅ Improving sustainability performance ✅ Giving consumers the simplicity they want while manufacturers gain control of complexity Of course, all this is easier said than done. A recent study by the Capgemini Research Institute revealed that about 70% of automotive respondents are still at the experimentation stage of their software-driven transformation instead of having embarked on scaling up use cases. Capgemini's #SoftwareDrivenMobility solution is a big part of the answer, but you can also read about how we apply the latest technologies, including AI-related ones, to solve specific problems 👇 #AutomotiveIndustry #OEMs

“Clutter out, speed in,” - says Mercedes-Benz AG CIO Katrin Lehmann. The car maker’s nearly 100-year legacy brings with it the need to modernize its old structures and systems, a challenge Katrin has embraced since taking on responsibility for the Mercedes Group’s IT. I love her initiative of “Kehrwoche” - sweep weeks in English – that encourages her team to review their systems and eliminate complexity, as well as the Bundesliga ranking she has introduced to recognize the team with the tidiest data. Many organizations are faced with similar complexities when it comes to making sense of vast and often disorganized data, at a time when there’s significant value and business advantage at stake for those firms who get it right and can harness the power of their data. We can all take inspiration from Katrin’s ability to turn tackling this challenge into something fun and motivational. As she notes in the interview, “Without a solid foundation even the best innovations won’t be effective.” For Mercedes, as for many organizations, its continued success – the ability to build modern, desirable cars – is closely linked to its technology, and the role of IT in enabling innovation. This couldn't be more aligned with how we at Thoughtworks approach the challenges of legacy technology and systems, and the pivotal role of data to build a solid foundation where organizations can innovate. And I’m delighted by our ongoing partnership with them as they continue to modernize and innovate for the future.

Our partners at Deloitte just published this video highlighting the many technologies showcased in their Montreal Smart Factory. Some of the systems you'll see there include various mobile robots and an intelligent 3D vision based depalletizing cell provided by RG-Group.com. We very much appreciate this partnership and from it, we have seen firsthand, how this facility allows customers to interact with the technologies and visualize how they could be applied in their manufacturing or warehouse environment. what in my childhood could connect me with robots?.. except movies with fantasized humanoid robots that could move "arms and legs" like an old doll and talk with a closed "mouth" like C-3PO from "Star Wars". 😊 Now, I understand that the field of application of robots is not even delineated by any boundaries yet, it is an unlimited opportunity. And if earlier works such as Atlas and Spot were just interesting, then I increasingly like the topic of robotics in automotive production, the field of electronics and even metallurgy... Sometimes I can look at robotic conveyor lines in automotive production, like a realistic movie on the Discovery Channel 😀 ❓ How do you like Stretch from Boston Dynamics? Appreciate the level of robotization in Arvato, which has increased this year with Stretch from Boston Dynamics! https://lnkd.in/dRqRe2JY I really like that the use of Stretch not only adds more efficiency, but also takes great care of the safety of workers in warehouses. Add to this the automation of business processes from SAP, a bunch of new technologies AI, ML, etc. Arvato has been a SAP client for a long time, so you are very advanced, Arvato! ‼️ 🟩 You can register for the event where you can learn more about Stretch's work at Arvato here https://lnkd.in/dNEHgEHv Also check out Boston Dynamics' updated Atlas robot, which moves lids to another container, reacts to environmental changes, corrects failed attempts! who hasn't seen it - click on the Boston Dynamics page. The topic is very interesting to me, please write in the comments, who can I follow on Linkedin? 😉 exactly on this topic. Thank you! #Arvato #BostonDynamics #SAP #Stretch #Roborics #Robotization #SAPRecruiter

Representing Daimler Truck AG at the Future FINANCE Festival in Düsseldorf yesterday with Katrin Bußmann! My three key takeaways from several interesting speakers: 💡AI may replace a lot of tasks in finance, but soft skills and human interaction can hardly be replaced. Therefore, improving those skills pays off in the future ✅ 💡Stereo-typed thinking and labeling are in the way of a diverse workplace. Heterogeneous teams typically perform higher ✅ 💡Actively approach successful professionals in your network to ask for guidance and advice. Most of them have been in the same place and will be happy to see others succeed ✅ #FFF2024 #finance #futurefinance #keylearnings #careeradvice
