Greatful to serve as the Board Chair for such an active and involved “community profit” company called Pro-Se Potential. One of our community outreach events was featured on the Back to Besa show with FOX news capture by the ever active Converge Media Team. Check it out in the link below. Our mission is to help our youth outperform their current environments. While we have a wide reach a majority of our children and families exist in King and Pierce Counties. If you want to get involved we have a Gala coming up November 2nd. Contact me for details. How do we heal a nation? Listen to the needs of the states. How do we heal the states? Listen to the needs of the counties And the counties? Listen to the needs of the cities And how do we heal the cities? Listen to the needs of the families. And how do we shape a better future? Friends and Colleagues, As many of you know, I am a passionate Board Member for Dallas Pets Alive! One of the biggest fundraising events for us is TODAY, North Texas Giving Day. Our goal today is to raise $115,000 so we can continue our amazing life-saving work! If you’re looking to give back, please consider donating to Dallas Pets Alive. Every bit helps and makes a big impact! ❤️ Thank you for your support! 🙏 https://lnkd.in/gsZdDbjw More about Dallas Pets Alive: Your support during North Texas Giving Day is not just a donation; it's a lifeline. Every gift you make goes directly to programs that are transforming the lives of animals and their humans. Our Foster and Adoption program is a beacon of hope for the most at-risk animals in our partner shelters, while our preventative programs—like PASS, Dogs Matter, and Bark Dorm—work tirelessly to keep pets out of shelters and in loving homes. These initiatives are not just about rescue; they're about building healthier, stronger communities where animals and people thrive together. The need is urgent. Many of the pets that come into our care have medical conditions so severe that shelters simply can't provide the care they need. Over a third of the animals we help are Major Medical Cases, requiring $1,000 or more in medical expenses. In 2023 alone, we spent more than $400,000 on treatments ranging from basic vaccinations to heartworm treatment and life-saving surgeries. This year, as we've taken on the incredible work of Dogs Matter and face the overwhelming overcrowding in North Texas shelters, the number of animals in our care has more than doubled. For the first time, we have more than 500 animals relying on our programs. While we've made strides in fundraising, the financial demands have outpaced our resources.
Every year, amazing supporters like you come together for Dallas Pets Alive on North Texas Giving Day. Your contributions are indispensable; they fuel our ability rescue animals and transform lives. We need your support now more than ever! This is our Excutive Director, Leslie Sans with one of our adoptable dogs, Sparkles, to remind you that you have the power to save lives. There is no donation too small — every little bit makes a world of difference to a pet in need. https://lnkd.in/dkrKMr2G https://lnkd.in/gGBFxgpw

I believe WE are ALL made for impact. Whether you're revolutionizing collegiate and soon-to-be professional sports, launching a new venture (details coming soon 😎 ), or working a part-time job, we all have the opportunity to see our neighbors and contribute something meaningful. Here's to each of us improving some part of our world. #Leadership #Kindness #Impact #Perspective
Caitlin Clark’s most impactful NIL deal hasn't paid her anything at all. When NIL passed in 2021, the Coralville Community Food Pantry immediately turned to the Iowa basketball star for help. They offered to pay her for her promotion, but Clark insisted that she work for free. She’s helped raise more than $100,000 in two years.

Tis the season! People often ask me how they can get involved with our community. They want to give back, however they are not sure how to go about it. There are 6,300 registered charities in Nevada. The first step is to determine what is on your heart. Children? Animals? Education, healthcare, seniors? Next, decide how you would like to contribute. The three most common strategies are financial support (writing checks), sitting on a Board of Directors (donating your talents) or volunteering. If you don’t have the financial resources to be a donor, do not fear! Volunteering is not only fulfilling, but also highly valued by charity organizations. Volunteers are the true heroes. Today we review Olive Crest. Olive Crest - Olive Crest is dedicated to preventing child abuse by strengthening, equipping, and restoring children and families in crisis…one life at a time. This is a faith based organization focused on foster children and their families. Never forget Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given…much is required.” https://lnkd.in/gGNZvGpD

This is worth a 1-minute watch, $5 going straight to saving the kids... 5 kids saved in the blink of an eye - great! The problem with this really funny scene? If 100% of donations go towards the beneficiaries (saving 5 kids), who pays for the 3 staff salaries in this scene? Or the fuel of the vehicle? The Op-Ex (running cost/overhead/admin) constraints that many charities/non-profits are working under is crippling - leading to burnout, high staff turnover and organizations that struggle to get by. Something to think about when you are making your next donation. Most organizations know how best to use your donation. https://lnkd.in/eS6NsXi9
