Unmasking Leadership Training: A Call for Authenticity! - A healthy dose of skepticism is always beneficial in our industry. An eye-opening article reveals the truth: not all leadership programs are cut from the same cloth. With low entry barriers, many self-proclaimed facilitators borrow ideas, often undercutting seasoned professionals. The most significant investment in any engagement isn’t just monetary, it’s the time and value people gain from it. In an era where ‘training’ and ‘courses’ are often available cheap, online and self-paced, we must ask ourselves: "What is the true value of face-to-face workshops?" "How should they be designed and delivered to truly add value?" I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.” https://lnkd.in/g-xy3_Pz

Practical leadership training is crucial in preventing the rise of bad managers. Charles Good, from the Institute for Management Studies, emphasises that hands-on practice combined with theory is essential in embedding new behaviours into everyday work. He believes smaller organisations can benefit significantly from flexible and creative training solutions, which resonates with me as it speaks to these companies' unique challenges. A commitment to continuous learning, exemplified by Good’s approach to reading books by his podcast guests, is inspiring and highlights the importance of deeper understanding in leadership development. The insights from leadership experts he collaborates with, like the concept of a “to-don’t list” or the value of creativity in problem-solving, offer practical wisdom for personal and professional growth. Transform your leaders, transform your organisation. #Leadership #Training #Growth #Coach #Coaching #Leader #Development
