Comic Agilé’s Post

Comic Agilé no. 302 - The POs Are Not Performing (reshare) If you send them on a PO course, and your organisation doesn’t really empower POs, they’ll just come back even more frustrated than they are now. #agile #productowner #productownership #comicagile

We are designing some internal trainings for PO, so I have to keep this in mind, Comic Agilé...

Product Owner do not own the product Like Release Train Engineer do not Release the product. PO: act as proxy between Technical people and Business people

Sure having the power to make decisions and being enabled is the basis for good product ownership. But often the product owners lack product management skills. In most companies they are highly special on the solution space and lack insights in the problem space and skills how to discover it. Being empowered by management is not a right it is a privilege that has to be earned. Product Owners have to build this trust. Just my 2 cents.

So true! Grateful for all who come to our #cspo but 50-60% of attendees are not empowered to make decisions and have 0 authority for anything in the "product".

Consider having CxOs as product owners, as they could provide the missing link between business strategy and product development. Their involvement might serve as the glue that binds these two critical aspects together, potentially becoming the secret sauce that drives success.

I guess a POINO is not a musical instrument...
