Accessibility is more than a feature, it’s a key driver of event success. When we design corporate events to be accessible, we create a pleasant and effective learning environment for people with disabilities. This not only enhances the mood of attendees, but also boosts their receptiveness and engagement. Why does this matter for your company? A thoughtfully designed accessible environment doesn’t just accommodate disabilities. It also supports diverse learning preferences, enabling everyone to absorb information in the way that works best for them. Beyond learning, accessible spaces contribute to comfort and well-being. Over the years, I’ve heard attendees say: 💬 “I’m so overwhelmed; I’m heading back to my hotel.” 💬 “I’m exhausted; I’ll find a quiet coffee shop to watch the rest online.” 💬 "I can't hear the presenters. Maybe next year will be better." When accessibility is prioritized, attendees feel comfortable staying engaged throughout the day. This has a ripple effect: 💡 Better retention and recall of information 💡 Higher satisfaction with the event 💡 Stronger business outcomes, like pipeline growth and increased average contract value (ACV) Accessibility is a strategic investment for your company, benefiting both you and your customers by boosting attendee satisfaction, enhancing brand reputation, and driving measurable success. #Accessibility #Inclusion #EventSuccess #LearningForAll #GetThatMoney #CorporateEvents #DisabledPeopleWantToLearn

Tis the season for family and fun! Are you thinking about organising a family friendly office Christmas party this year? Here are some of our top tips for throwing an epic corporate family event: ✅ Plan with purpose - Define the purpose of your event and tailor every element to support it. Whether it's to celebrate Christmas, mark a milestone, or promote team bonding, having a clear goal will make the event more cohesive and meaningful for everyone. ✅ Choose the location wisely - The venue sets the tone for the entire event. Make sure you have enough space for all the planned activities and guests. If you're going for an external venue, double check accessibility and if it suits the theme of the event. ️ ✅ Engage all age groups - A successful family-friendly event caters to all ages. From toddlers to teenagers, plan fun and inclusive activities like treasure hunts, craft workshops, and even a talent show! ✅ Don't forget the adults - We believe in having adult-friendly activities at the event too. It's a great way to ensure inclusivity for all employees, even those without children. There's a huge demand for in-person events right now, but many hosts and facilitators are still having a 🤷♀️ 🤷 'I'm not sure what to do with my hands' moment! It’s like we’re all Ricky Bobby on stage for the first time after so long—excited but a tad out of practice (whether we are willing to admit it or not). This is the moment to redefine what it means to come together and gather to create meaningful and unforgettable experiences. IRL is where it's at! I want to hear from you all! 🧐 WHAT ARE YOUR BEST TIPS & TRICKS FOR HOSTING IN-PERSON EVENTS OR MEETINGS? ——— 👋Hi, have we met? I am the community manager for the Culture First chapters community. 💪 I help our volunteer chapter leads design inspiring experiences and events related to co-creating a better world of work. 💌Join the discussion by joining our community at chapters.culturefirst.com #culturefirst #employeeexperience #offsites

The journey from inclusion to belonging At MICE we believe in creating experiences that go beyond simply including people. It’s about making everyone feel like they truly belong. We’ve all been there—starting a new job, moving to a new city, or walking into an event where we don’t know a soul. It’s one thing to be included, to get the invite, but it’s another to feel like you truly belong, to feel that your voice is heard and valued. Belonging is the next step in the journey of diversity and inclusion in the realm of events. It’s not just about being present; it’s about feeling connected, valued, and part of something bigger than yourself. This is what we strive to achieve in every event we organize. In recent times, the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have sometimes felt more like checkboxes than heartfelt goals. We believe it’s time to shift the focus to belonging—where every person feels seen, heard, and integral to the community we’re building. Our mission is to ensure that every event we create helps people feel this deep sense of belonging. We want to create spaces where connections are made, stories are shared, and everyone feels like they’re part of a family. Join us in moving from inclusion to belonging. Let’s make sure everyone not only gets the invite but also feels right at home. #EventManagement #Belonging #Community #EventPlanning #CreatingConnections #DEI

Attending the FLEX Summer Camp yesterday reminded me how passionate #eventprofs are about creating the perfect experiences for attendees. Here are some of the learnings we can all benefit from implementing: 1. 10,000 baby boomers (born 1946-1964) leave the workforce daily. 55% of working adults are less than 45 years old. How do we attract the next generation to events and keep them coming back? Create value and figure out what values those attendees hold dear to deliver on them. 2. Infuse events with FUN! Less is often more when we’re focused on the right experiences that surprise and delight attendees. 3. On boundaries and #worklife balance Highly skilled problem solvers who are service-oriented and innovative can do anything. Putting boundaries in place is important because we cannot do everything. Remember, we cannot keep others warm by setting ourselves on fire 🔥 4. Everything is scalable. Never think an idea won’t work because an event is too small or too big. Use your coalition of vendor partners to make your team unstoppable! 5. Two ideas to drive #nonduesrevenue Charge more/offer an incentive to stay inside the block. Some add a place to enter a confirmation number to receive a discount during the registration process. Adjust late/onsite registration fees significantly. The attendee behavior of booking late won’t decrease, however registration numbers don’t drop and attendees are willing to pay much more for the flexibility to register late. Some have achieved double and triple the regular rate! Thank you to the presenters and attendees who shared these valuable lessons! 📝This is what nobody tells you about team-building events.💁♀️ Yesterday, we had an incredible team workout at The Urban Heroes. 🏋️♀️ Thanks to Marlon Schwencke and @Tobias Hessling! I love that at WeWork, we don't just work together; we also stay active together. Our team is close-knit, and these events bring us even closer. The workout was intense but fun. Each class lasts about 45-50 minutes. We pushed ourselves and then enjoyed a refreshing shake together. It was a great way to bond before our big event tomorrow. Here are three reasons why team-building events like this are essential: 🤝 Strengthens Relationships: Working out together helps us connect on a personal level, not just professionally. 🤗 Boosts Morale: Celebrating our efforts with a shake and a chat lifts everyone's spirits. 💪 Prepares for Challenges: Facing physical challenges together makes us more resilient for upcoming work tasks. 🔗 Turns out, these events are not just about fitness; they’re about building a stronger, more cohesive team. 🏋️🏋️♂️🏋️♀️ #Teamwork #Community #WorkCulture
