Embracing AI in the World of Storytelling - AI is not here to be me, it's here to assist me. The AI revolution is here, and it's here to stay. As a writer, my initial reaction was a mix of fear and curiosity: "Oh my God, is AI going to kill creativity?" This reaction, like many others, stemmed from a lack of awareness of what AI is and what it can truly offer. But here's the thing—I quickly realized that AI isn’t here to replace creativity; it's here to enhance it. I decided to enrich my podcast, "All you need is..." by experimenting with various AI tools, using them as my assistants rather than competitors. This podcast isn’t just about storytelling; it's about embracing a new era of collaboration between human imagination and machine learning. My co-creators? ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and LeonardoAI. Each one brought a unique element to the table. ChatGPT helped with ideation and dialogue, ElevenLabs enriched the audio experience, and LeonardoAI added a visual dimension to the stories. Together, we've created something that blends the best of human intuition and AI precision. And this is just the beginning! Throughout the journey of this podcast, I might discover more tools and collaborators to add to my creative arsenal. The idea is not to replace the soul of storytelling but to amplify it using AI. The first story in this love story collection? Fittingly, it's about AI itself. It’s titled The Symphony of Us, and it's dedicated to the feeling of eternal romance—not just between people, but between human creativity and AI innovation. Did you know that how you present yourself in your podcast can make or break listener engagement? I reviewed a potential client's podcast and noticed a striking difference between their scripted and conversational segments. Listening to the audio version, I wondered why it sounded so robotic. Was it AI? Turns out, in the video version, the host was reading a script word-for-word. It was precise, but soulless. When the host switched to a conversation with the co-host, everything changed. He used his hands, paused to think, and engaged naturally. This highlights where AI is today. It can be accurate but often lacks the human touch, emotion, and spontaneity. We'll see improvements in AI in the coming years, but for now, authentic human interaction remains irreplaceable. #contentmarketing #AI #marketing

Highlights from a 17-minute podcast — I'm so flattered these two podcasters spent so much time talking about me, and I wasn't even in the room with them! In fact, the two podcasters are AI. 🤖 I plopped my URL into Google's NotebookLM tool, and it spun a 17-minute audio out (then I plopped *that* into Descript to create a highlight reel).     Pretty impressive, huh? (Though as my husband pointed out, notice that you'll never catch them talking over each other, as real humans do.) I anticipate lots of AI bells and whistles like this in the coming weeks, months, and years. They will dazzle and impress us with their capabilities. Even terrify us with the possibilities for nefarious uses. Not to mention fear of AI taking away our jobs. And you know what? The more capable AI gets, the more valuable our uniquely human qualities become: • Authentic human connection (in-person, anyone?) • Body language   • Nuance • Compassion • Emotional intelligence • Critical thinking • Adaptability • Creativity (yes, AI can generate a zillion ideas in 20 seconds, but our ability to create art, and to come up with original ideas, is still unique to each of us) Here's what I know for sure: AI won't replace humans. But humans who know how to work WITH AI will replace those who don't. The key is embracing our uniquely human qualities while leveraging AI as a powerful tool. With AI, are you “ALL IN” … or “Wait and See”? I’m surprised that there’s still so many business people who are taking a “wait and see” approach to Generative AI in their business. In a recent podcast interview I did with copywriting expert Jon Benson that topic of resistance to change came up. Especially resistance to using the more approachable models like ChatGPT or Claude. When I asked Jon his advice for the AI-hesitant or AI-curious, his simple but powerful answer floored me: ➡️ Keep an open mind and ask, "How can I use this to my advantage?" I've experienced this personally in a smaller WV market. What is creative? What is brand? You want me to pay you what?! With the evolution and advancements in AI this is only going to become a bigger battle. But dare I say, just like creative, AI is only as good as the information provided. If you don't feed your robot the right food, you will not get results. If you dont start with a strategy your marketing wont be successful. If you aren't willing to understand why it's important to have a brand, you'll never understand why you wouldn't want it AI generated. In order to stand apart in your own competitive landscape, I hope you take the time to use a professional human who can have a conversation, challenge your ideas and help you show up better than you could imagine. Some of us, actually care and want to see your business win. AI ain't every going to do that!
