😟Is your GP provider inbox driving you to despair due to the extra hours you have to work each day to clear it? 🧐Read the testimonial below from a practice who is getting welcome relief from this with our medical admin service. 🤗Let our trained med admins take some of the workload from you so you can have more time to focus on your patients care and claw back some hours for your own time. 📍📍“The medical students have become an essential addition to our team and are helping us to keep the workload manageable and improve our processes. We are a small practice with 3000 patients and the medical students are responsible for a decrease of about 25 hours clinical admin time a week. Our GP and NPs have more time for the patients and there is no more need for evening or weekend work anymore. Due to a consistent focus on clinic admin by the medical students our patient files are fully up to date, recalls are done in time and results are processed in time. The work done by the medical students is of a higher standard than when done by a stressed or burnout GP. The medical students have brought the joy back to the clinical team”.🤩

Through cold and flu season, there can be confusion on what role physician associates (also known as physician assistants) play in patient care. Continuing our educational series about the members of the health care team, do you know the difference between a physician associate and a physician? According to American Academy of Physician Associates, PAs “are licensed clinicians who practice medicine in every specialty and setting.” In most states, they work as part of the health care team under physician supervision. PAs earn their PA degrees at a master’s level and are trained under the medical care model. During this training, they gain about 2,000 clinical hours. Then, they become certified by passing the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam, and they obtain a state license. American Medical Association defines physicians as "the most highly educated, trained and skilled health care professionals." Physicians spend 4 years in medical school before completing three to seven years of residency and fellowship training (depending on the specialty). Then, they obtain licensure and board certification. Between medical school clinical rotations and residency training, physicians typically gain between 12,000-16,000 hours of patient care experience. #PhysicianAssociate #Physician #PA
