Being a leader is a juggling act, and carries a discipline of spending time working 'ON' the business, as opposed to working 'IN' the business. It's important to remember that most businesses wouldn't be around if it wasn't for the customer, keeping a pulse check of 1) who your customers are 2) what they wan't and 3) how they want it, has to be THE top priority. From the 'top down' to the 'bottom up' actively listening to feedback, taking time to keep the pulse of your customer will reap rewards whether this be through retention, increased revenue, CSAT. Just saw this commercial by FedEx. Great job by the employees going the extra 'mile' for the customer. While I have worked with real-time visibility and decision intelligence with Tive Inc., PAXAFE, Catena Clearing,Transparent Path spc. — I had to wonder why the customer would ship such a high value asset without real-time tracking? Why would anyone? The technology is now so advanced (with more upgrades coming) that if someone shipping such a high-value asset needed to know the location and condition (temp, etc.), it's as easy as looking at the shipment. Regardless of the line or lane. Let's arm our knowledge workers with the #visibility, #traceability and #trackandtrace they need to up the customer service game.
