This course presents psychologists and practitioners with an innovative approach for conducting therapeutic interventions within a single session using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The ACT Matrix will be demonstrated as an experiential tool that increases therapeutic effectiveness. Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to describe how to utilize acceptance and present-moment awareness using ACT to promote change within a single session. Participants will be able to understand the role of psychological flexibility in generating the acceptance and committed action process.
