Introducing the Conscious Evolution Collage, facilitated by Heather Lynch and Nikki Kapp at #Freskival this Friday morning. The Conscious Evolution Collage is a collaborative and creative game designed to help you understand and address the complex sustainability challenges of the 21st century. Through this workshop based on New World Together transdisciplinary research findings, you will access breakthrough knowledge and innovative ways of thinking, that can empower and enlighten you. Work as a team with different sets of cards containing key information about the global sustainability challenges, their hidden root causes, and their solutions. Your mission is to use your individual and collective intelligence to connect the dots and organize the cards to have a clear picture that allows you to: 🫧 Adopt a systemic approach: Break the silos to grasp the interrelated challenges of sustainability as a whole together with their fundamental causes. 👁️ Deepen your understanding: Recognize unsustainable behavior patterns, their past origins, their root causes, and how they are perpetuated below our level of awareness. 🧭 Find a pathway: Discover what we need to nurture and change in order to find a pathway toward the “better world our hearts know is possible”. Who is this for? 🤔 This workshop is for anyone who wishes to understand better the global sustainability challenges of our time and how they can contribute to the solution. It is also for those who want to connect with like-minded individuals and positive #changemakers. What I 💚 LOVE 💚 about the Conscious Evolution Collage is that: -🔗 It covers ALL the global issues we face and looks at what is at the root of them all - it takes a systemic approach, looking at the interconnectedness of all issues - 'the metacrisis' -🧠🕰️ It explores the psychological reasons behind why we are facing a metacrisis and explores humanity's past to explain how our past fears are resulting in the issues we face today - it helps us understand why things are as they are - 🌱💚It offers a desirable, realistic and sustainable path towards a better future where all beings can thrive - and where we understand what we need to learn and how we need to evolve as individuals to be part of the change we want to create - 👤 🙏 It focuses on the individual change each of us can make and shows how that can ladder up to systemic change - I came away from the workshop feeling empowered and hopeful because I felt agency to contribute to the type of future I want to create - 🌌💭It creates space for the emotional processing of the information and invites us all to bring conscious awareness to our experience - the nature of the topics means the workshop kindly invites us to reflect on our own levels of consciousness and how aware we are of the patterns and mental models, within us and collectively, that have created our world. Thank you Benjamin Casteillo and New World Together for developing it and enabling us to be able to share these insights and pathway forward in an engaging, accessible and inspiring way 🙏✨ If you want to experience the workshop, then come and join Nikki Kapp and I, as part of the #Freskival organised by Climate Clarity this Friday 9:30-12:30 🎉 Details below. We are also facilitating a Conscious Evolution Collage on the 29th October in Putney and online on the 22nd November - drop me a message if you're interested and I can share the sign up link ☺️ #ConsciousEvolutionCollage #Consciousness #Systemicchange #Sustainablefutures

Shifting Perspectives: Nature as a Blueprint for a Sustainable Future 🌍🌿 In today’s fast-paced world, innovation is often seen as something we have to constantly chase. But what if the answers to our most pressing challenges are already around us, waiting to be recognized? Biomimicry encourages us to shift our perspective. Instead of creating solutions in isolation, we can learn from nature's systems, which have evolved over billions of years. This isn’t just about innovation—it’s about changing how we approach problem-solving. 🌱 Adopting a Nature-Inspired Mindset Means: +Thinking Long-Term: In nature, every process is designed for sustainability, not short-term gain. What if we applied the same thinking to business models and community design? +Designing with Purpose: Natural systems are optimized for function and efficiency. By adopting this approach, we can design solutions that are both impactful and resource-efficient. +Regenerative Solutions: Nature doesn't just sustain itself—it regenerates. Businesses and societies that aim for regenerative practices will be the ones that thrive in the long run. When we look to nature as a mentor, we can begin to reimagine how we build, grow, and sustain our world. This isn’t just about addressing today’s challenges—it's about shaping a resilient future. Are you ready to embrace a new mindset for innovation? #Biomimicry #SustainableInnovation #MindsetShift #RegenerativeFuture #LongTermThinking #AlpineGeniusThinkTank Photo: Elina Emurlaeva/Unsplash

” Sustainability is the outcome - regeneration is the process” Wise words from Daniel Christian Wahl at Sitras Regenerative Futures – Science meets business-event. One of the 💡 aha-moments for me was internalizing that the journey towards regeneration is more important than the outcome. The outcome is often valid only for a moment, while the journey builds lasting regenerative capabilities. I’ve often thought the same about any business transformation – getting the mindset right is the first step toward meaningful change. All in all, a very interesting event with some case examples of new innovative, regenerative start-ups presented by Tuukka Toivonen, PhD (Oxford) and Delfina Fantini van Ditmar. As the concept of regenerative business can be hard to concretize, I find it extremely useful and inspiring to have some practical examples. What inspires you in regenerative thinking? (Feel free to be inspired by the word cloud below, generated by the event participants) #regenerative #future #sustainable #business

We NEED to reframe sustainability and what it means. We’re so focused on the reduce, avoid, and stop approach. This whole agenda is basically marinated in guilt. This causes people to get anxious about it. It also triggers resistance in people because it feels like giving something up. We need to move away from that. We should focus on creating new and better solutions. By tapping into our imagination and creativity, we can make sustainability a positive and exciting opportunity for business and innovation. It is possible to create a more sustainable future. The first step is to change our mindsets and embrace change.

What does "sustainable" really mean when combined with other terms? Here are some examples: 🌀 Sustainable growth asks us to rethink economic expansion—focusing on improving quality of life without depleting resources. 🌍 A sustainable future ensures we meet present needs without compromising the planet or future generations. 💻 Sustainable digitization means using technology responsibly—reducing energy waste, minimizing e-waste, and promoting inclusivity in the digital age. True sustainability lies at the intersection of these ideas: harnessing innovation for long-term ecological balance, economic equity, and social progress. What does true sustainability mean to you? #sustainability #digitaltransformation #futureofwork #growth #circulareconomy

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀: 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 As both a researcher and advisory board member, I am privileged to contribute to initiatives like StairCampus, where academic insights and practical decision-making intersect to drive meaningful change. This dual role allows me to bridge theory and practice, creating a dynamic flow of ideas that benefits both fields and fosters innovation in movements like Peel Positief. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵-𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 In my role as a researcher, I delve into the principles of circular economy and regenerative leadership, exploring how businesses can transition toward sustainable and net-positive practices. These insights directly inform my contributions as an advisory board member, where decisions must balance innovation with feasibility to create biobased and circular stair renovation products. 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 Conversely, my advisory role provides a front-row view of how circular strategies are implemented in real-world settings. Collaborating with OEM partners, knowledge institutions like Centre of Expertise Brede Welvaart en Nieuw Ondernemerschap | BWNO, and regional initiatives such as Innovatiehuis de Peel and de Peelpioniers, I gain valuable perspectives on practical challenges and opportunities. These insights enrich my research, ensuring it remains grounded, relevant, and actionable. 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼-𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 StairCampus exemplifies the potential of co-creation in advancing sustainability. Every stage of the value chain—from raw material sourcing to end-of-life solutions—is an opportunity to align theory with practice. Similarly, in Peel Positief, the integration of academic frameworks into community-driven initiatives creates scalable solutions that benefit local ecosystems and economies. 𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 Both roles share a common goal: to contribute to net-positive impacts that go beyond minimizing harm. At StairCampus, this means embracing inclusive labor practices, circular innovations, and fair trade. These priorities resonate with the regenerative approaches championed in the Peel region, emphasizing the interconnectedness of ecological, social, and economic well-being. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 By combining the analytical depth of research with the strategic oversight of advisory board work, I can help shape projects that not only achieve immediate objectives but also pave the way for systemic transformation. This collaborative, integrated approach is essential to building a circular and regenerative future. I invite all stakeholders—academic, industry, and community partners—to join these efforts towards a more regenerative world. Don't worry about the form of co-creation or the path ahead, merely reflect on whether you truly want to make a positive impact.

I used to see the world the same as the 99%. But since adopting these innovative contrarian views held by the top 1%, how I view engaging stakeholders in regenerative culture has completely changed. This shift has helped me foster a culture of sustainability and regenerative practices among employees and stakeholders. 🌱💡 #Sustainability #Innovation

At our Dialogue Tables, we connect with inspiring individuals who can drive real change. 🌟 At iDialoogHuys, we initiate crucial projects, by connecting the right people, sparking movement and transformation. One exciting project, in collaboration with Kees Klomp and inspired by Jan Terlouw, is ‘the chair of the future’ (working title). 🪑 This chair, designed by Jim van der Wardt from recycled materials and named by Ingrid Heil, will sit in boardrooms reminding leaders of the impact their decisions have on future generations. What will future generations think of these decisions? Does a decision have a positive or negative impact on our world? Together, we're working towards a conscious and sustainable future. Interested in joining the conversation? Get in touch! #Sustainability #Future #Impact #Change #iDialoogHuys
