In light of the recent release of ARM's suite of reporting, we’d like to share some key insights on how to create an effective #decarbonisationstrategy. These tips can serve as helpful guidance as you work towards your sustainability goals! Decarbonisation isn’t just about cutting #emissions; it’s about future-proofing your business for the coming challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities of tomorrow. Here’s the essentials to consider: 🎯 Set Clear #Goals: align your emissions reduction targets with global standards like the Paris Agreement to ensure measurable, impactful progress. 📊 #GHG Inventory Management and Assess Your #CarbonFootprint: take stock of your Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to identify key areas for improvement and guide your actions. 💬 Engage #Stakeholders: success requires collaboration—engage employees, suppliers, and customers to drive innovation and collective action. 📌 Target Setting and #ScenarioModelling: setting achievable, context-driven GHG reduction targets and exploring various decarbonisation scenarios to find the most sustainable solutions. 🗒️ Custom Roadmaps: create comprehensive, step-by-step plans with clear timelines and allocated resources for each phase of your strategy. Be sure to have a tailored decarbonisation plan that aligns with your #businessobjectives and #regulatoryrequirements. 🔍 Monitor & Report: track progress regularly and report transparently to ensure #accountability and continuous improvement. 🌿 Decarbonisation is an ongoing process, and we understand that it can feel #overwhelming. That's why it's important to take it step by step. Looking at your operation and value chain, setting the right targets and having a strategy or a roadmap is certainly a good starting point. #Decarbonisation #Sustainability #ClimateAction #CarbonNeutral #GreenBusiness #ESGhttps African Rainbow Minerals Limited Anthony Dane Maia Chiara Rossi David Baxter Jéssica Vandal Jashna Pillay Matt Hildyard Ines Miguel Cardoso Beatrice Pedretti

Did you know that the biggest part of your organisation’s carbon footprint might not even come from your own operations? 🌍 Scope 3 emissions—those hidden in your supply chain—often make up the largest share, yet they’re the hardest to track and reduce. In fact, according to a recent article by Carbon Herald, up to 90% of emissions for many companies are found in these indirect sources, making them critical to understand. However, 41% of organizations struggle to gather consistent supplier data, which makes reducing these emissions a major challenge. Check out the full article for more info: https://lnkd.in/gwZ2NqjE Thanks to John Spear for the valuable insights. At GNFZ, we work with you and your partners to simplify this process. We begin with a materiality assessment to help prioritize key emission sources, and we’ve designed an easy onboarding program for your suppliers to assess their Scope 1 and 2 emissions—data essential for calculating your Scope 3 footprint. #Scope3Emissions #Sustainability #NetZero #SupplyChain #CarbonManagement #ClimateAction #MaterialityAssessment #ESG #CorporateResponsibility”

𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝟑 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐩: While companies are making strides in reducing Scope 1 (direct emissions) and Scope 2 (purchased electricity) emissions, the ambition falls short for Scope 3 emissions (generated throughout the value chain), averaging just an 11% reduction target. This gap underscores the importance of addressing emissions beyond direct operational control. 𝐋𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬: The analysis emphasizes the importance of setting ambitious near-term targets (interim targets) as stepping stones towards achieving long-term net-zero goals. However, only 33% of emissions are covered by net-zero commitments with interim targets aiming for 2035 or sooner, leaving a significant portion of emissions reductions with no clear roadmap for achievement in the critical near-term. credits: ESG news.com #EarthEmission #ESG #carbonemissions #industrialemissions

Time to make sustainability measurable, material, and valuable. Since early 2024, tremendous sustainability efforts have been made within BPG to build up our product profiles with a mission to accelerate the circular economy globally. We have been carrying out various LCA projects, starting with assessing sustainability performance and potential impacts of aggregates and metals from IBA. We tackle not only landfilling contamination, but also recover valuable resources from seemingly non-recyclable waste. We estimate that our reprocessed products would help avoid more than million tonnes of GHG emissions, said Thuy MAI-MOULIN. We aim to support businesses to valorise secondary resources, and at the same time reduce and reverse climate impacts at the global level. Would you like to keep updated with our sustainability efforts and material potentials?
