🚀 Microsoft's Latest Ad: Reviving a Vital Message 🌟 Here AI is showcased as a catalyst for our dreams and goals, not as a job competitor. Despite the tech sector's layoffs in 2023-24, reflecting economic shifts and rapid changes (TechCrunch reports are eye-opening! I'll leave a link to it in the comments), I see it as a pause before a major advance. AI's integration promises to enrich performance and wins, from industry to personal level. It will take at least 6-12 months to see the first industry results. Google tests out Gemini AI-created video presentations Google is launching its new Vids productivity app in Workspace Labs with the idea that “if you can make a slide, you can make a video in Vids.” Announced in April, Vids allows users to drop docs, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings into a timeline to create a presentation video to share with coworkers. Making it available in the Workspace Labs preview allows Workspace admins to opt in users to try out the AI-powered video maker. While you can generate video in Vids, it’s not to be confused with AI tools like OpenAI’s Sora, which can create lifelike footage from a prompt.
