What a great morning at Dartmouth's 10th anniversary 'Women in Private Equity' event, where one of our London based investment professionals, Diana Moraru spoke about her P.E. career journey and what inspired her to choose this path. CD&R is delighted to support the great work the Dartmouth team is doing - and has done over the past ten years - to advance female representation in our industry. #WomenInPrivateEquity #DiversityInBusiness #PrivateEquityCareers
What a fantastic end to our 2024 Women in Private Equity series! Last week, we wrapped up with our final breakfast event in London, featuring exceptional speakers from large-cap funds. It was a truly inspiring morning, and we’d like to extend our thanks to our guests, whose enthusiasm and determination to explore careers in private equity have been truly inspiring. Some key learnings from the morning: - Don't hesitate to speak up: in private equity, it's crucial to voice your opinion from the start. While women may sometimes be less vocal than men, offering your perspective is a key part of your role so don't be afraid to do it. - Inspire confidence: private equity is a people-focused industry, so demonstrating confidence during the interview process is essential. Show that you're serious about the role by preparing thoroughly and researching the individuals you'll be meeting. Make a strong impression that motivates your future employer to want to work with you. - Show your ambitions: don't be afraid to ask questions and show your willingness to go the extra mile. Be innovative and ask to be involved in certain projects that will help develop you and your career. If you don't ask, you don't get it. This year marks 10 years of our Women in Private Equity series, and what an incredible decade it has been. Since starting this initiative in 2014, we are proud to have contributed to advancing female representation within the private equity sector. At Dartmouth, we firmly believe that prioritising diversity at the junior talent level fosters long-term success within organisations. We remain committed to making a positive impact for our clients and the talented candidates we work with. We are excited to see what the next 10 years will bring as we continue to champion diversity and drive meaningful change across the industry. A special thank you to our fantastic speakers, Diana Moraru, Emma Chandra, Wendy Yang, Maiju Varhe, Soyoon S., Ekta Mehta, An-Sofie Vanhulle, Henrietta Sandmann, Berre Simonse and the sponsoring funds Advent International, Bain Capital, The Carlyle Group, Cinven, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Hg, PAI Partners, Warburg Pincus LLC.
