Don’t ruin your chances before you start, Your image matters. Dreaming of a new job? Scary (or potentially powerful!) statistics time! Surveys have found that around 70% of employers WILL check out candidate's profiles as part of their screening process. And *over half* were rejected because of this. GULP. So how can you use this to your advantage? 💡 Put your public profiles to work for you! The obvious number 1 is to set up your profile photo to showcase you as an absolute professional, in your own authentic way. I am an absolute advocate for showing up consistently - photos of you are one of the easiest ways you can do this. While I am not personally looking for a job, I *do* want my ideal clients to find me and choose me because they resonate strongly with me - and it really does work! What will your future dream employer find when they check you out right now on this platform? Are you setting the impression you want to give? ___ Time for new headshots? Invest in headshots you finally LOVE: https://lnkd.in/ga4ugdEm

Would love to know your thoughts; I repost a lot of jobs, the one thing I think is important is stating the city where it is located. Please inform me if you think this is important. I have seen maybe a dozen of job postings that do not have the city in the past 3 years since I started reposting.

I think the below is a great recommendation but it's also why you need to be connecting with people in your field. That's critical. Set a goal of 5 people a day to find - send them a note on LinkedIn and ask them for one thing. If you're a Supply Chain Manager - look for VP's of Supply Chain who've done something you admire or work for a company that looks interesting. If you're a Controller - look for a CFO - or an Accounting Manager. Start with people you have similarities with and work your way from there. Good luck. #networking #accounting #supplychain
