Embarking on the journey into the HR profession has been nothing short of transformative. As a young HR professional, I've found myself thrust into a role where the welfare and well-being of others are paramount. It's a responsibility that constantly reminds me of the profound impact HR personnel can have on individuals and organizations alike. Transitioning into this career path has been a journey marked by diverse emotions, challenges, and exhilarating moments. Each day presents new opportunities to make a positive difference, whether it's by fostering a supportive work environment, resolving conflicts, or advocating for employee rights. In the midst of this journey, I've come to appreciate the immense value of experience. With each interaction, each decision made, I've gained not only knowledge but also the confidence and patience necessary to navigate the complexities of human resources management. Yet, what truly sets this journey apart is the unwavering support system that surrounds me. From mentors Rita Babalola, Adedeji Adebowale, CBAP, SPHRi Yetunde Faleti Akinlalu SPHRi, Oluwaseun Odumosu, who generously share their wisdom to colleagues Gabriel Osifo-Whiskey, PHRi™ Abdulhameed Bankole (M.sc),Samuel Ebiloma who offer camaraderie and encouragement, I am fortunate to have a network that believes in my potential and pushes me to grow. As I reflect on my experiences and look towards the future, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead. With the right support system and a commitment to continuous learning, I am confident that in a few years, I will emerge as a formidable force in the HR profession—a catalyst for positive change and a champion for the well-being of all. #InternationalHRDay #HRAppreciation #HRProfessionals #ProfessionalGrowth

Every year on May 20, we celebrate International HR Day. This is the time for us to shine the spotlight on the valuable and irreplaceable role that we, as an HR professional, play in helping our organization to succeed. International HR Day is all about recognizing and celebrating the value and positive impact that HR brings to the organization and its people. It’s not an exaggeration to say that HR is the backbone of any organization. All the work that you do — from attracting and hiring new people to building an excellent Team and upskilling our employees- to managing vast amounts of employee data — ensures that our organization has what it needs to achieve its goals and be successful. This might sound simple on paper, but in this disruptive and highly competitive business environment, ensuring our organization succeeds is no easy feat.
