Create a checklist for tasks like updating address information, arranging transportation, and organizing important documents (like medical records, school transcripts, etc.). The earlier you start, the more time you have to resolve any unexpected issues. Purge & Prioritize: PCS moves can be a good time to declutter. Sort through your belongings and decide what to take, donate, or ditch. Prioritizing essential items will make packing easier and help you stay within weight constraints, potentially saving on shipping costs. Remember that less is more. We have many clients who LOVE their books. When we are going through a client's collection, the questions we ask them are: "Are you going to read this again?" "Did you love the book?" "Can you purchase this online if you would like to read it again years down the road?" and sometimes..."What is your emotional attachment to this particular book?" Most of our clients who love books are more tactile readers, which means they love the feel of the pages, the act of physically turning the pages of a book, or seeing where the bookmark is when they set the book down, and to see how far they are through the book. World Book Day is something that often fills parents with dread as the costume challenge annually rears its head 📚 You don’t need to face that fear with #comfortcasesuk - we love books, especially if they are gently loved, and will inspire a child to lose themselves in pages of facts or stories that stimulate their imagination or knowledge. Education and learning is often described by care leavers as the way to break a generational care cycle. “Frequently changing schools, missed education, lack of support for special education needs, and the difficult transition from leaving care to living independently” are just some of the adversities that care experienced young people face.
