🚨 Defense Production Act Investments at Work! 🚨 The Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III program is essential for strengthening our national security by investing in the critical domestic industrial base capabilities. The program focuses on: ✅ Sustaining critical production  ✅ Commercializing R&D investments  ✅ Scaling emerging technologies   Aligned with Executive Order 14017, which addresses America's supply chains, the Department of Defense has identified five defense-critical sectors for targeted investments. In FY2024 alone, DoD made 70 DPA awards across multiple areas, totaling more than $670 million!   The DPA Title III program is overseen by the ASD(IBP)'s Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Prioritization (MCEIP) directorate, working to build resilience across the industrial base. With release of Executive Order 14017, the Biden Administration made supply chain security a federal policy and funding priority and signaled that the Administration would expand investment in critical industries and use of the Defense Production Act. This update from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment summarizes current and planned FY25 investments. In February 2020, Federal Budget IQ's forecast predicted that supply chain resilience would become a 10-year multi-billion-dollar policy and funding priority.
