lt was a pleasure to be invited to attend a workshop in مركز المعلومات ودعم اتخاذ القرار بمجلس الوزراء - Information and Decision Support Center IDSC about "الشركات الناشئة العاملة بمجاالت التكنولوجيا المالية والأمن السيبراني- بين الفرص والتحديات" Buguard The discussion was very fruitful and through it, important topics related to companies in Egypt and how to develop government dealing methods were discussed to develop and facilitate the work of companies in the local market. The workshop was attended by an elite group of cybersecurity pioneers in Egypt.

Oman announces new cybersecurity initiatives MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman announced the launch of several cybersecurity initiatives during the 12th Regional Cybersecurity Conference which began here on October 28, 2024. According to Eng Said bin Hamoud al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, these include the launch of the Hadatha Centre for Cybersecurity, in partnership with Sultan Qaboos University and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, to establish advanced national industries in cybersecurity. Working in IT sector for long years in Business Development and Public relations , I am sharing my concern about the widespread disruptions to critical cloud services that occurred today. This event truly highlights the importance of cybersecurity and the stability of the global technological infrastructure. It is unfortunate that there has been a direct impact on a wide range of users and vital institutions, underscoring our growing dependence on these services in our digitally connected world. An outage of this magnitude could have serious repercussions on economic activities and everyday life for people across the globe. This incident shines a spotlight on the urgent need to strengthen cybersecurity systems and ensure the continuity of essential services, especially as society becomes increasingly reliant on technology. Businesses and governments must work closely to address vulnerabilities and potential threats in the global digital infrastructure. And that's what's actually the Egyptian government is really concerned with. This event is a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in cybersecurity and ensuring the resilience of our technological systems against disruptions and attacks. NCA-OTCC represents a set of cybersecurity measures developed by the National Cybersecurity Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Published in 2022.. The NCA-OTCC is divided over 4 main domains: - Cybersecurity Governance, - Cybersecurity Defense, - Cybersecurity Resilience, - Third-party Cybersecurity. With 23 subdomains , 47 main controls and 122 subcontrols..
