At the #NationalTradeSummit2024, our Founder and Economist, Mitali Nikore, participated in a panel discussion on #EmpoweringWomenTraders, organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). Along with esteemed co-panelists Ms. Seema Arora, Mr. Yogesh K., and Ms. Anita Juneja, she highlighted the pressing gender gaps in the #trade sector. Key Insights include 🔎 ▪️Customs Barriers: Women traders face frequent delays and complications, exposing the gap between #policy changes and real-world support. ▪️Skill Training & Licensing: Despite women making up around 30% of traders, many lack access to essential #training and #licensing opportunities, limiting their growth. ▪️Networking & Market Access: Limited #networks and #market access, especially in #textiles, remain critical barriers to #business expansion. We thank #CAIT for the opportunity and look forward to #empowering more #women in the #tradesector. #WomenInTrade #GenderEquality #InclusiveCommerce #NationalTradeSummit2024
