Research shows that companies with greater female representation in executive teams consistently outperform their peers. Anastasya Molodykh, Senior Principal at Cinven, shared how the idea to bring senior female executives together evolved into a long-term programme aimed at empowering more women in our portfolio to grow themselves and their careers.
Read the full story on how Cinven’s ASCEND (‘Accelerating Success, Championing Excellence, Nurturing Diversity’) initiative came to life: https://lnkd.in/eVWJZdG9
That is truly a pioneering initiative which is making a great impact. Congratulations Anastasya Molodykh and Cinven.
It has been such an honour and joy for us at ADAPTAA to support those powerful women on their leadership journey.
I’m passionate about creating a world where women are celebrated for their unique strengths and perspectives.
I imagine a feminism that empowers women to lead boldly, with their femininity as their superpower—not something to be adapted or hidden behind masculine ideals.
This vision honors women for who they are, encouraging them to embrace their identity fully rather than conforming to someone else’s mold of power or success. This is the journey I explore here.
Let me know your thoughts about this topic.

Reflecting on the International Women in Science & Education conference! In a compelling discussion on "Entrepreneurs: an Investor's Perspective," our Founder and Board Chair, Barbara Clarke stated, "You'd be surprised what a diverse board brings to the table." This encapsulates our mission at The Impact Seat Foundation. Embracing diversity isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s a proven strategy for innovation and growth.
Barbara’s message reminds us that diverse teams are the engine of creativity and problem-solving. As we move forward, let's commit to creating environments that celebrate and harness diversity!

🎉 Happy National Women's History Month! 🎉
As we embark on this month-long celebration, let's take the opportunity to uplift and empower the incredible women in our lives and communities. I have had the honor of learning from and being mentored by so many incredible women leaders during my career. Here are some meaningful ways to honor and support the women around you this month:
1. Amplify Women's Voices: Take time to listen to and amplify the voices of women in your workplace, community, and beyond. Share their stories, achievements, and perspectives to ensure they're heard and valued.
2. Mentorship and Support: Offer mentorship and support to women in your network, whether it's through formal mentorship programs or informal guidance and encouragement. Your guidance could make a significant difference in their professional and personal growth.
3. Celebrate Achievements: Celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in corporate America and all fields. Recognize their accomplishments publicly and acknowledge the barriers they've overcome to succeed.
5. Invest in Women-Owned Businesses: Support women-owned businesses by purchasing their products and services, promoting their ventures, and investing in their growth. Your support can help empower women entrepreneurs and fuel economic empowerment.
Let's make this Women's History Month a time of meaningful action and solidarity, as we uplift and empower women to thrive and succeed in every aspect of their lives.

This week, Ultra I&C's ERG team held its first "Women of Ultra I&C" panel. This inspiring event brought together some of our company's accomplished female engineers and leaders to share their experiences, challenges, and successes in their career journeys.
The panel discussed crucial topics such as overcoming gender barriers, fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and the importance of mentorship, particularly for women in STEM careers. Our team members gained valuable insights into career development strategies and how to navigate the unique challenges women face in this traditionally male-dominated industry. Big thanks to our panelists Stacie Ohler, Prerana Joshi, and Samantha Davila, MBA, PMP, and our moderator Amanda Rudolph, and to all the women and allies who attended.
As we approach International Women in Engineering Day, we're proud to celebrate the contributions of women at Ultra I&C and across the industry. We remain dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where women can thrive and lead – no matter their background, field of expertise, or career stage.

During Women's History Month and beyond, let's rewrite the narrative of competition among women. Instead of tearing each other down, let's lift each other up. Together, we're unstoppable. In a world where collaboration breeds greatness, let's champion each other's successes, support each other's dreams, and celebrate each other's victories. It's not about outdoing one another; it's about uplifting one another.

The article "Hasbro’s Women Innovators Of Play Elevate Female Leadership, Creativity" by Dr. Cheryl Robinson highlights a crucial movement towards gender equality and female representation in innovation, particularly within the toy industry. It’s inspiring to see companies like Hasbro actively promoting female leadership and creativity, recognizing the immense value women bring to the table.
From my perspective, the strides being made in encouraging women to share their ideas and innovate are not just beneficial for the individual women involved; they are transformative for entire industries. As the article points out, innovation thrives on diversity of thought, and when women are empowered to contribute, they can challenge traditional norms and drive significant advancements. The increase in women holding patents—rising from 7.2% in 2020 to 10.9% in 2022—is a testament to this growing empowerment.
One aspect that particularly resonates with me is the emphasis on mentorship and community. Kim Boyd’s comments about the importance of community and mentorship cannot be understated. When women support each other, they create a network of encouragement that fosters greater creativity and confidence. This support is essential, especially in fields where women have historically been underrepresented. The Women Innovators of Play initiative serves as a model for how organizations can create inclusive spaces where female voices are amplified.
Moreover, the discussion around self-doubt that Dr. Michelle Thaller raises is a poignant reminder of the internal barriers many women face in professional settings. The idea that significant energy is spent overcoming self-doubt rather than focusing on innovation is a powerful call to action for organizations to cultivate an environment where all employees feel valued and confident to share their ideas.
In conclusion, the efforts to elevate female innovators in the toy industry through initiatives like Hasbro's are a step in the right direction. They not only create opportunities for women but also enrich the innovation landscape as a whole. As we continue to advocate for diversity and inclusion in every industry, let’s remember the importance of creating supportive communities, encouraging mentorship, and celebrating the unique contributions of women. I’m excited to see how this movement evolves and inspires the next generation of innovators to boldly share their ideas and reshape the future.

Thriving in the finance and tech industries—areas traditionally dominated by men—has been more than just a career for me; it's been a statement. I’ve mentioned before that I never thought this would be an industry I would work in when I was younger, and my mum and I still joke about it today. But, every day, along with two remarkable women I’m lucky to work with, Linsey Burnard and Mayna Jackson-Gill, we navigate these sectors. My goal is not only to fulfil my professional dreams but also to help pave the way for the girls and women who will follow in our footsteps to show you can do it.
This sector’s landscape is beginning to change, as noted by Sonia Boudier (Chief of Tech & Strategy Officer at iBanFirst), “now could be the best time for women to position themselves in this field due to a combination of situational factors and a (business-oriented) will to diversify the workforce”. There is still a way to go, but I’m excited to be a part of it.
The worlds of tech and finance are not just open to you; they actively need your insights, creativity, and drive. Our presence is not just notable—it's powerful; our contributions are not just helpful—they're transformative, and our potential is truly limitless.
