#ClientThursday. The 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 aims to create a unified framework for managing public procurement across all levels of government. It’s designed to ensure procurement processes are 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, as required by South Africa’s Constitution. 🔑 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹? (1) Establish a 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 to streamline procurement. (2) Implement 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 to empower disadvantaged groups. (3) Promote 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 by advancing Black ownership and management in line with B-BBEE codes. (4) Leverage 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 for greater efficiency and transparency in procurement. (5) Combat corruption and ensure 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 in public spending. This Bill is a vital step toward creating a more inclusive economy and enabling meaningful participation of Black-owned businesses while ensuring public funds are used effectively for the benefit of all South Africans. 🌍
