Newsom proposes defunding police, prisons, public safety as California faces massive deficit Ever notice democrats never defund politicians taxpayer funded security? How about defunding the taxpayer funded democrats accounts they use to pay for parties, flying off to foreign countries for vacations? How about stripping democrats of all taxpayer funded programs! Why should the taxpayers feel the brunt affects of democrats mismanagement of money that democrats defund police, prisons, public safety. Why do democrats always take away for the public while using the public’s money to fund illegals medical care, monthly income for being illegal no working, while democrat politicians continue to live wealthy off taxpayers. Let’s defund democrats instead of the people who pay for public safety?

🌹Poop in the water 🌻Overcrowded prisons with plans to release at least 20,000 inmates. 🌸WAY too long Waiting lists at the NHS- National Health Service. These are just three issues inherited by Labour after 14 years of Conservative leadership. The U.K. Tories/Conservatives and the Scottish SNP have been dropping balls left and right- balls nothing to do with football, but for A gut check on the outcomes when Greed sits at the table, taking up too much space, crowding out Logic and Empathy. Both are needed to govern as “public” servants. When folks start believing “development” is more about making Coin than providing safety for People, we See This Result. In the USA, we would be well served to watch with interest understanding the mirror in which we gaze points the responsibility of change Back At You. Advice to new PM Keir Starmer….release all persons under the age of 26, especially if weed-related, but also because NONE of the locked up People below age 26 Have Fully Formed Brains. Just as Biden inherited messes from Felon T, the way we Americans proceed? We must ensure backpedaling to days of yore with white supremacy large and in charge is THWARTED. All you gotta do is VOTE BLUE! Let’s learn from our friends across the pond. #truth

The new government is making its first appointments, and it's a breath of fresh air to see them picking people who aren't just career politicians, but genuinely fit for their roles. One of my favourite choices is James Timpson as the new Minister for Prisons, Parole, and Probation. The same Timpson from the high street chain where you might have had your keys cut. Here’s a few reasons why I think this is a brilliant move: - Advocate for the cause of rehabilitating ex-offenders - Proven business leader at Timpsons - Family history of fostering (you really should read about that!) - Innovative trust-based management style UK prisons are in a shambles at the moment—overcrowded and in terrible condition. Clearly, our justice system needs a serious rethink. James Timpson’s appointment might just be the first sign of more smart, innovative decisions to come. Here’s hoping it sets a new trend.

Should prisons be abolished in favor of rehabilitation centers? Ideally, justice and mercy should be blended where the Book of Proverbs and behavioral change are the course- for more on Proverbs- https://lnkd.in/gjsiFk4C... Chapter 31 Justice: Making Things As Right As Possible While Still On Earth The teaching of scripture is that one day the wicked will get their due. Another teaching of scripture is that one day we will experience the true righteousness that this world lacks. It lacks this righteousness because the people who populate the earth are not yet righteous, and some of them will never be righteous. Justice Thought Question A friend of yours comes to you and is very upset that justice was not served in how some people are being treated. He wonders when justice will truly come and if God really cares about justice? What does Proverbs say about justice? Justice Concepts: (for greater focus read the verses out loud) 16:10 The lips of a king speak as an oracle, and his mouth does not betray justice. 16:11 Honest scales and balances belong to the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making. 17:3 The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the LORD tests the heart. 17:15 Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— the LORD detests them both. 17:23 The wicked accept bribes in secret to pervert the course of justice. 17:26 If imposing a fine on the innocent is not good, surely to flog honest officials is not right. 18:1 An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels. 18:5 It is not good to be partial to the wicked and so deprive the innocent of justice. 18:17 In a lawsuit the first to speak seems right, until someone comes forward and cross-examines. 18:18 Casting the lot settles disputes and keeps strong opponents apart. 18:19 A brother wronged is more unyielding than a fortified city; disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel. 19:5 A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever pours out lies will not go free. 19:28 A corrupt witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil. 20:10 Differing weights and differing measures— the Lord detests them both.

As Second Chance Month draws to a close, let's pledge that these conversations are just the beginning. The fight for a more just and equitable system for those impacted by incarceration must continue year-round. We demand answers and liberation for the unjustly mistreated women at Dublin and all other facilities where abuse and neglect occur. Let's hold businesses and organizations accountable when they claim to support reentry efforts but their actions contradict those ideals. President Biden, the Bureau of Prisons, and the entire administration must be held to their promises of reform. Promises made must be promises kept. Passing the Equal Act and the Federal Prisons Accountability Act is crucial for dismantling systemic injustices within the criminal justice system. We need a federal expungement process to give deserving individuals a true fresh start. Good Time Credits must be applied consistently and fairly, including during probation, to honor the rehabilitative efforts of those who have earned a second chance. We must eradicate harmful stigmas and create pathways to meaningful employment, housing, and community integration for all returning citizens. Unjust practices like excessive restitution, ghost money, and sentencing disparities require urgent attention and reform. Let's not let our voices fade as the month ends. This is not a celebration, it's a call for transformative action. Let us sustain this momentum until true justice is achieved for all. #SecondChanceMonth #SecondChance #FairChances

📫 A message from REFORM’s legendary Gen Z Organizer: Rondo Bonilla ➡️ “Thank you for joining me in this fight. As we head into election season, it’s critical for us to raise our voices and advocate for justice reform nationwide. This issue is deeply personal to me because not that long ago, I was incarcerated on Rikers Island in New York City, one of the most violent jails in the country. I was just 18 years old when I first got locked up and saw firsthand that rather than giving people tools to get better, the criminal justice system hurts people who have already been through so much pain and trauma. That’s why I joined REFORM. Because we are working to fix that by creating pathways to work, stability, and well-being for people impacted by prisons, probation, and parole. REFORM has already passed 18 bipartisan bills in 11 states that will help 800,000+ people exit the system. And good news - instead of letting politics divide us, Republicans and Democrats are teaming up RIGHT NOW behind the Safer Supervision Act to focus on what makes sense for all of us.” #genzdayofaction 🚀 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dMpViXyy

It’s rare that I look at our government’s actions and think “great decision”. But when it comes to some of Labour’s incoming bold choices, I can’t help but smile to myself in approval. It genuinely feels like they might be thinking outside of the box. Take for example the appointment of James Timpson as Prisons Minister. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 What a fabulous choice. Finally someone has been hired into government because they are the best person for the job. Firstly, he’s an incredibly savvy businessman, at the top of his industry. This bodes well for the kind of strategic decisions needed right now. Secondly he’s long been a supporter of rehabilitation, hiring huge numbers of ex offenders to work for him. He’s also chair of the Prison reform trust. The level of understanding and empathy he brings to this role will be, I suspect, a very new approach. Finally, he’s not an MP. He’s not trying to get elected or please the public with his decisions. (Well I hope at least) I have high hopes for his time as prisons minister… let’s watch this space! #sensiblebusinessdecision #thinkingoutsidethebox

It's time for America—both federal and state governments—to admit the undeniable failures of our criminal justice system. From mass incarceration to excessive sentencing, rampant wrongful convictions, systemic racial biases, the inhumane treatment of inmates, and the Constituonally-allowed modern-day slavery of humans trapped in the prisons, the current system too often falls short of justice and fairness. Why do we criminalize poverty, mental illness, and addiction? Why do we punish people for the crimes of others, simply because they were there for a lesser crime? Why does America incarcerate more humans than any other country on earth? Why does one country of 195, have 25% of the planet’s prisoners? Why do we allow indentured servitude to take place, modern day slavery done to us by the government we pay to serve and protect us - to help us? These glaring problems erode public trust and perpetuate inequality, leaving too many lives destroyed in the name of punishment. Admitting these failures is not a sign of weakness but a necessary step toward healing and reform. By acknowledging the truth, we can begin to rebuild a system that focuses on rehabilitation, fairness, and human dignity. We could focus on actual crime prevention, which doesn’t mean more policing; it means stop the practice of spending more on prisons than schools, having better nutrition rather that commoditizing what we eat for profit, affordable housing, universal healthcare. We need to work together to ensure all humans have their basic needs met; until this happens, humans in survival mode and in trauma will behave badly to survive. Only when we can admit the mistakes of the past, and get about the business of renewing actual justice into our systems, can we hope to create a criminal justice system that truly serves and protects all members of society, ensuring that justice is both equitable and compassionate. #Truth #Accountability #Transparency #Intelligence #Understanding #Justice #Fairness #Balance #CrimePrevention

Throw away the key... bring back capital punishment... they committed the crime, they need to deal with it, not my problem! All things I have heard, with regards to prisoners, when speaking with people who ask about my job and what I do. Are they wrong? Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect that, but we have to, as a society start thinking differently. We don't throw away the key, Capital punishment isn't a UK policy, and it is ALL of our issue.... UK tax payers will pay benefits a prisoner will have to claim if they cant find a employment opportunity. No matter the crime, that person could be released (if sentence allows) to an area, and without a purpose or a second chance, is at a higher chance of re offending. Its not about forgiving or forgetting, its about realising that without a purpose, a goal or support, the re offending rates are sky high... its a fact!! So lets get purposeful work projects into prisons, get prisoners in front of our HR managers, get better training into prisons to get them work ready. Prisons are crying out for support and opportunities. Let's help drive those re offending rates DOWN! Get in touch with me...lets talk... the possibilities are limitless.
