In my 8 years in the talent acquisition industry, I've learned one thing to be true, regardless of all other variables: Relationships trump all else. Relationships with your candidates. Relationships with your hiring managers. Relationships with your teammates. At the end of the day, you can get everything else "right" and still fail without enough attention paid to pouring into your people. Treat your people right; consider their feelings & perspectives, have empathy for their unique challenges, act with integrity, and show up with value wherever you can.
