Porn. Sextortion. Deepfakes. Audiofakes. Surveillance Girlfriends for Lonely Men. Fraud. CSAM. These are the primary business cases for Generative AI, just like blockchain before it. I mean, I know a lot of people On Here are so fooled by the Close-Up Magic of Generative AI that they can’t see the connections, but…it’s right in front of you. They’re practically shouting it now. https://lnkd.in/gZG-WF6g
Yep Mr Altman is saving humanity
And people say they won't make any $ from B to C...
When a gen AI company shows you who they are, believe them.
Pretty much. But people will continue to defend it for all its GOOD and USEFUL purposes, while conveniently hiding all this stuff. Urg.
Sam promised us a cure for cancer and a solution to climate change. Looks like he's burning his billions on more urgent matters. 😎
Going for the oldest business model in the book then - sex sells 💸
This guys doesn't have limits
It goes without saying that this is only going to generate absolute shitshow nightmares, but I’m surprised they would speak about this out loud. Porn production is always a huge revenue source in emerging media tech, most companies just take on those clients quietly. 😂
Order from Chaos
7moA scary consideration: is generated child porn illegal? There is technically no victim, no crime. I think it should be, definitely. But given our current legal structures... I'm not really sure it is, because there is no actual entity involved. It's fake pixels of fake realities... I think this is absolutely something legislation should be looking into. No way should criminal behavior be trained, supported or incubated via GenAI. We should stamp that out before it takes hold. I keep trying to make the legal case against it, but the existing entertainment industry makes it impossible. Murders, rapes, everything is recreated on TV. It's allowed, because no actual crime is being committed... it's being simulated. Yikes.
