Have you heard that Google has finally (after talking with them for years), REPRIORITIZED SEO back to 'classic SEO' which is ON PAGE - things we, the community webmasters, can actually control?
In case you've been sitting under a rock, Google's rise in popularity was because of its emphasis on 'authority'. This was measured in the hypothesis that site that has 'more' connections IN should be ranking higher than a site that is not.
Thankfully, the rise of AI and the dominance of Chat GPT has killed that whole 'backlinking' philosophy. For decades, 'bots' have been generating automated pages, with tools like Wordpress, to attempt to artificially engineer ranking in Google without needing to provide quality content.
Google's new update which was announced this month will take effect on May 5th and Google is already de-indexing websites that are failing its tests. Remember Google owns 'Deep Mind' and Gemini and they have UNLEASHED their spider to re-crawl the Internet and look for high QUALITY content.
This similar emphasis happened recently with YouTube, where the metrics for ranking on YouTube no longer are so greatly affected by your own 'subscriber' count but rather than your ability produce 'better' videos. Even small channels who can make a great video can receive thousands of views, whereas 'old' channels, can't just release 'same old' kind of videos and expect views.
Because the AI is VERY SMART. It knows, based on history, what is quality content vs. content that is simply made to attempt to rank higher in search engines.
For the past week, we've been teaching in our private Inner Circle mastermind, the classic 'SEO' principles of TWO DECADES or more that are FINALLY coming back into dominance.
Stop listening to the 'fake news' about SEO. It is going back to the basics, like it was 20 years ago. It is a hail to all SEO professionals to get up to speed and help their clients by redesigning their websites with better content.
That does not mean you can't use AI for content generation. On the contrary, when you use AI IN conjunction with well engineered prompts and human source material, the output is 'better' and we believe will rank better, because it appeals to more people.
In our next class I will share with you what I've learned from building our own AI that is 'better than Chat GPT' and much more human like than other AI's that are commercially available.
