Imagine you're sitting in the audience at a play about yourself. It's the story of you at your most creative and artistic. What objects do you see on stage? How is the environment laid out? What are you wearing? Is the space chaotic or controlled? Messy or pristine? Maybe somewhere in between? A state of flow looks different for everyone and sometimes it's hard to find. In those moments, consider it as a performance for your audience of self. What do you need to see, feel, hear, and experience in your ideal work environment? Don't be afraid to be a little performative about it. Sometimes the action needs to proceed the feeling. Instead of crafting a space with the intention of creation, production, or output, insert yourself into that wonderful state where those things are inevitable. Happy Wednesday :) #flow #flowstate #communication #performance #setdesign #idealworkenvironment #art #creativity #intention #curiosity #speakintoaction

There is no art form where creative blocks don't happen The same is true for us too On a regular basis, when we sculpt gods and goddesses we don't experience creative roadblocks often But when it comes to modern or creative statue concepts we do experience them Facing these creative roadblocks is rather frustrating So we came up with a simple system that helps us get clarity. Here's what we do- 1. The first thing we do is jump on a call with the client. Understanding their vision and expectations usually clears up most of the confusion. Often, a simple conversation reveals new perspectives and ideas we hadn’t considered before. 2. When the client call doesn't completely solve the issue, we consult with other senior or experienced artists. These discussions can be incredibly enlightening. Sharing different viewpoints and brainstorming together often leads to breakthrough ideas and innovative solutions. We strongly believe that every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow, making the final piece even more special. These are the pieces which truly make us proud of our work! What are your go-to methods for overcoming creative roadblocks? Share your tips in the comments! #creativity #sculpture #brass #brassart #statues #challenges

"Sometimes, the most important reflection we can make is on ourselves. 🐒🎨 This watercolor of a monkey gazing into a mirror reminds me of the value of self-reflection in the creative process. Taking time to step back, evaluate, and see ourselves or our work from a new perspective can lead to incredible growth and innovation. Whether in art or life, the ability to reflect allows us to evolve and create with purpose. How do you incorporate reflection into your creative journey? 💭✨ #SelfReflection #CreativeGrowth #WatercolorArt #ArtAndLife #Innovation"

Some questions I ask myself when I'm in a creative rut: What story am I telling? Whether abstract or literal, every piece of art has a story. Think about the emotions, narratives, or experiences your work will convey. What am I willing to risk? Growth often lies in experimenting and embracing the unknown. Are you pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone? Who is this piece for? Are you creating for yourself, a particular audience, or someone who needs to feel seen? Sometimes, this purpose can change the entire approach. Am I staying true to my vision? Trends are fun, but does your work reflect what you want to say? Authenticity in art shines through every brushstroke and line. How does this piece make me feel? Before anyone else reacts, how does your art make you feel? Does it challenge you, soothe you, or spark something new? What am I learning about myself through this piece? Art can be a mirror. Sometimes the work reveals truths you didn’t know you were holding. What are you discovering? How does my medium enhance my message? Every tool or medium brings its own texture and voice. Does your choice of materials enhance the message or feeling you’re aiming for? What questions do you ask yourselves? #Authenticity #ArtVision

I've got an exercise you can do with your friends that will help you understand each other better. The next time you're in a small group, bring up a room that all of you have been in before. Ask everyone to draw the room on a napkin or coaster. After they're done, don't worry too much about what they drew, but ask them, "when you were drawing the room, how did you visualize it?" You may be stunned to realize that whatever way you visualize the room is not how others imagined it. I've found that people visualize it in one of two ways. People inclined towards math and engineering usually see the room from above like a blueprint. Communicators and artists generally visualize it from the first person perspective, imagining themselves walking into the room and converting that point of view into a drawing. The experiment can offer insight into how your friends think, and you may even discover a pattern in the types of people you're friends with. At the very least, this exercise leads to interesting discussions you might never otherwise think to have. #communication #experiment #understanding #artists #creatives #engineers #perspective

Closure: find out why it should be your new favourite art! We're obsessed with the idea of closure—it's not just something you dive into in therapy. It's a fascinating psychological principle that our brains are wired to crave. Closure is the reason why catchy tunes loop endlessly in your head and why we automatically complete half-drawn images in our minds. In everything we create, whether it's whiteboard animations or sweeping concepts, we tap into this powerful idea. We purposely leave a few details unsaid, inviting your brain to leap in and finish the story. Great storytelling is all about sparking your curiosity, keeping you hooked, and ensuring the experience lingers with you long after it’s over. So, the next time you catch yourself filling in the blanks while looking at an image, remember—it's not magic. It's your brain doing what it does best. And that, my friends, is the true art of closure. #art #artistsoninstagram #comms #communications #storytelling #visualstorytelling #closure #earworms #psychology
