Recently, I came across a rather interesting study by Influencer Marketing Hub on the state of the creator economy. According to the report, the #creator economy is projected to generate $480 billion in revenue by 2027, making it the fastest-growing sub-industry within digital media. While it's challenging to predict exact figures, I wholeheartedly agree that the market will experience significant growth. This rapid expansion highlights the essential need for financial services tailored to #content creators. Traditional banking systems often struggle to accommodate the unique needs of content creators, particularly regarding international #transactions and explaining income sources. At destream, we are committed to developing and providing these crucial services, empowering creators to manage and grow their earnings effectively. As the market evolves, our goal is to support creators in navigating these opportunities and maximizing their financial potential. https://lnkd.in/dgBjNrxg

💭 The creator economy is more than a trend... it’s a transformative shift, empowering millions of entrepreneurs, influencers, and freelancers to monetise their creativity. 🌎 Fuelled by the growing demand for authentic, user-generated content, this sector is set for explosive growth, with a projected CAGR of 22.5% over the next decade. Here’s a quick look at what’s driving this rise and the regional breakdown: 1️⃣ Rising Demand for Authenticity – Consumers increasingly favour content created by individuals over traditional ads, propelling the need for relatable, user-generated content. 🎥 Platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch are at the forefront, creating massive opportunities for video creators. ( Note - Employee Generated Content and Community Generated Content are going to be HUGE in 2025 📈 ) 2️⃣ Diverse Monetisation Opportunities – From brand partnerships to sponsored content, the monetisation landscape is evolving rapidly. Tools and platforms are emerging to help creators connect with brands, making it easier to turn passion into profit. 💰 3️⃣ Regional Insights: North America: Leading the charge, with over 35% of the market share, thanks to the early adoption of creator tools and platforms. Europe: Second largest market. Growing steadily with platforms like Instagram and TikTok, fostering a supportive environment for creators. Asia-Pacific: 🌏 Fastest-growing market with a projected growth rate of over 20%, driven by a surge in internet users and short-form platforms like TikTok. As the creator economy reshapes digital marketing and opens up new revenue streams, this is an incredible moment for creators, brands, and investors alike. The question is no longer if the creator economy will continue to grow, it’s how big it will get. 🙏🏼 #CreatorEconomy #DigitalMarketing #ContentCreators #Monetisation #FutureOfWork #SocialMediaMarketing #Innovation Sources and Image Credit: https://lnkd.in/edUv_f37

Size doesn't (always) matter. Creators need to abandon that limiting belief. Here's why: Large audience MUST mean you're making a lot of money right? Not so fast. This belief is likely born from a few things: 1. We see the largest creators/audiences in the world do insane brand deals etc. and think that's the case for everyone 2. In the US especially - 'bigger' is naturally equated to 'better' The consequence of this is that many creators and solopreneurs lack confidence that they can "make it" and have trouble enduring this path of online entrepreneurship. They feel hopeless when they can't reach a large follower count and end up throwing in the towel. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲. I've worked personally worked with 10k follower creators that are out-earning ones with a 200k+ following. Let's unpack why that happens. The main notion is that a large following isn't an engaged following. And even an engaged following isn't always an engaged following of potential buyers. So many creators think their only path to monetizing is having an insane large following and doing some influencer deals to make a quick buck. (that kills your brand IMO - but that's a topic for a different day). 𝗦𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲? The first step is you need to align on the INTENT of your content. Ask yourself: - Who is the ICP/Avatar I'm trying to attract to my business? Auditing your intent will enable you to create content aligning to their goals / challenges and help them level up. That will lead to you launching lead magnets, offers etc. that resonate and get your followers to take action. Creating content just for boosting audience size is an outdated game. Watch. You'll see the smart companies looking for "micro influencers" that have an audience of people that really TRUST the creator and will recommend products that help them move forward with their goals. (do a quick Google if you don't believe me) That's the evidence that size doesn't matter. Put your focus on who you're writing for and how you'll help them - and you'll be able to earn more than 99% of creators - no matter what their audience size is. #creatoreconomy #solopreneur #Influencermarketing

Millions of followers doesn't mean millions of dollars 💰 At We Create Popular® we activate these 6 income streams to turn our creators’ online presence into 6-7 figure media brands - 1. Creator Funds TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and Snap have creator funds or ad revenue shares. Aka they pay you based on how well your content performs. 2. Brand Deals Influencers can pull in tens of thousands for a single post - particularly if you can show a track record of results. Creating short form branded content is the highest ROI way to generate income as a creator - the trick is to NOT make it feel like entertainment, not an ad. FashionNova dropped $40 million in creator deals in 2019. 3. Merchandising / Productising We’re not just getting eyeballs we’re winning hearts. Creators with followers who want to feel more connected to the fandom can take on a merch line or launch their businesses. We love low risk JVs between great operators and creators. 4. Affiliate Marketing Earn a cut of every sale made through your code or link. TikTok shop is set up so well for this and brands like MyProtein and Gymshark have been raking it in with this model, as well as their ambassadors. 5. Subscriptions Gated content platforms like Patreon, as well as Facebook or TikTok subscriber groups can generate recurring monthly income. 6. Live Events Creating spaces for creators to connect with fans in person - from meet and greets, book signings, to balls to tours, nothing engages core fans quite like IRL experiences. 🪦 RIP feast/famine cycle. #CreatorEconomy #Marketing

Why are we targeting K-Pop Fandom Market The reason why K-pop is loved by many people around the world, including Gen Z, is because K-pop's unique creative culture is the intersection of the fandom economy, creator economy, and process economy. The Creator Economy is a model where creators or influencers use digital platforms to create content, engage with audiences, and monetize their creations. This model involves content creation across various platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, podcasts, and blogs. Fandom economy is an operational mode that focuses on the customers' emotional capital and leverages their loyalty towards a celebrity or brand to obtain economic and social benefits. The business model has changed a lot from the "output economy" where the result itself and functionality are the top priority to the "process economy" where the process and value are important. Now, we should not suddenly appear in the market with a functionalist perspective by focusing only on the simple result, but share why I am obsessed with the result and the process to reach the result. And in the process, we should continuously receive various opinions and reach the desired result in the form of continuous modification. The process itself should create a large community and make it more enthusiastic and sympathetic. K-pop fandom naturally has the basic characteristics of a fandom economy. However, it does not remain a fandom economy, but rather, it is growing into a 'creator economy' through voluntary creation. In addition, in this process, it is creating a representative case of a 'process economy' where the process is important and value is created while enjoying the process, rather than focusing on the results shown. K-pop fandom embodies all three economies, proving that the efforts of the fandom, along with those of the entertainment industry, were essential in establishing K-pop as a new global phenomenon.
