Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to UC Berkeley's AI Hackathon. I still can't believe that in just 27 hours, we hacked together a customer service factory (more on that later). Shoutout to Richard Ky, Ejiro Igun, and Ranveer Singh for being such amazing team members! I had a great time working with you all and learned so much! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 We created an application that creates customer service agents to solve the shortage of good customer service representatives. Just enter your website's URL, and our application gets to work generating a customer service agent. Once ready, our application generates a phone number that customers can use to talk to the new agent. Our LLM-based agent will handle all incoming calls and answer in a friendly, human way based on the information available on your website. I put together the speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipeline using Deepgram and LMNT, added phone support by using Twilio, and worked hard to get our scraping and RAG pipelines working efficiently. Groq's ultra-low latency LLMs really helped our application feel like a conversable human. I still can't believe we did that in just 27 hours! You can check out our demo, where we create a customer service agent for the hackathon and call in with questions, below!

Few things are more frustrating than building a product you're proud of, only to see your demo fall flat. Joseph George Lewis shows how you can avoid that fate with the aid of Gradio, a lightweight open-source package for making practical demos.

We're 10X'ing our velocity of product impact at Sauce with one AI workflow. Increasing code written or sales demos only matters if you're building the right product. Our CPO James Gabb has been generating prototypes to instantly validate high-impact customer problems and solutions before we spend any dev effort: 1. Identify impactful customer request or issue in Sauce 2. Paste context into Claude.ai and ask it to generate prototype 3. Share prototype with customers to get fast feedback and iterate This allows us to get fast feedback loops as James can quickly validate himself, and saves weeks of design and dev effort in the process. So by the time we develop the feature we already have high confidence it will solve the customer problem and be highly impactful.

I am so excited to share details of our UK Red Hat Summit Connect event in October. Take a look at the awesome list of customer speakers along with a "do not miss" main stage demo (I might be involved in that, so might be biased 😀)! Reasons to register: 1) You can spend the day listening to Red Hat customers talking about how they are solving challenges across multiple industries 2) You can come and see latest technology updates from Red Hat & our partners 3) There's an awesome demo that is building AI (of course!) & edge focused application pipelines in your app delivery 4) You can network with peers from every industry 5) There's swag! https://lnkd.in/eEiMxKfv

The welcome message is the first interaction between the chatbot and the user. It can either encourage the user to start a chat or make them lose interest. For People Who Run Product Demos or Service Demos: (everyone else ignore) "Let me think about it" <--- don't end a demo and get this answer. If you have done good discovery, identified pain, and let them validate that impact... don't screw it up with bad "trial closes" Here’s a quick test to rate yourself (or your team): 👉 Bad: “Does that make sense?” (translation: “Please say yes so we can move on.”) 👉 Better: “How does this fit with the challenges we talked about earlier?” (translation: “Let’s make sure we’re actually solving a problem here.”) BTW made a chat bot you can upload your recent demo to see how you do.
