Apple has obviously caught up with LLMs this year. Xcode 16 will include predictive completion and a prompt system for generative code. Integrated the best way, by preserving privacy. Having been a GitHub Copilot user for the past year, generative AI for code was a big step forward to write code more efficiently. Xcode felt quickly outdated, lacking this feature. Tools like Ollama had showed the way on how to embed a LLM offline using Apple Silicon. As expected, Apple's model works fully offline and is trained with state of the art Swift code from their team. Really excited to try this! 🔥 #apple #ios #macos #generativeai #ai #artificialintelligence #llm #machinelearning #swift #swiftui #development #tech #xcode

Apple’s latest iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS 15.1 developer betas introduce “Clean Up,” an AI-driven feature that allows users to remove objects from photos. With smart detection, users can select and erase objects in a single tap, while the AI generates a matching background, removing shadows or reflections as well. This feature is part of Apple’s ongoing “Apple Intelligence” suite, which also includes writing tools, natural language search, and smart replies. Google offers a similar “Magic Eraser” feature. #apple #ios #developers #beats #cleanup #AIDriven #Features #Remove #object #photos #Smart #detection #AI #users #background #shadows #iPadOS #macos #businessdor Apple in Business Apple iOS Programming Apple Premium Service Provider Chatbot AI new photos

At WWDC23, a SwiftUI engineer from Apple mentioned that this is the correct approach and the only syntax available to initialize a property wrapper in the initializer of a type. Surely, the same method can be applied to ObservableObject and @StateObject. What do you think, guys? Any feedback is welcome as I'm building a large scalable project and need to manage my dependencies with due care Benefits: Deferred Evaluation: 1. Using @autoclosure defers the creation of AccountViewModel until the initialiser actually needs it. This can be beneficial for performance and ensures that the view model is only created when necessary. Simplified Initialisation: 2. The use of @autoclosure allows the caller to pass an expression that creates the view model without having to explicitly wrap it in a closure. This simplifies the syntax for the caller. Flexibility: 3. The @escaping attribute allows the closure to be stored and used later, providing flexibility in how and when the view model is created and used. Just kicked off the Kodeco "Build AI-Powered Apps with Apple Intelligence" bootcamp. Excited to share that my new iPhone 16P, which arrived on Friday, surprised me with the option to upgrade to 18.1 during onboarding – a real time saver. Equipped with Sequoia 15.1, Xcode 16.1, and my M1 Max Studio with 64Gb of RAM, I'm all set for the Apple Intelligence journey. My toolkit includes Android Studio with Bard and Gemini, JetBrains AI Bot for PyCharm and IntelliJ, and CoPilot for VS Code. Time to dive into some coding! 🚀 #AppleIntelligence #AI #CodingJourney

Day 62 of #100daysofSwiftUI On Day 62, I started to build an app that lets the user import photos from their library, and then modify them using various image effects. Key points: - Core Image is Apple’s high-performance framework for manipulating images and is extraordinarily powerful. - The onChange() modifier tells SwiftUI to run a function of our choosing when a particular value changes, it passes in both the old and new value. - SwiftUI gives us alert() for presenting important choices, and sheet() for presenting whole views on top of the current view. - SwiftUI's confirmationDialog() slides up from the bottom, can contain many buttons, and can be dismissed by tapping on Cancel or outside of the options. #apple, #swift, #swiftui, #appdevelopment, #programming, #hackingwithswift #ios, #xcode, #coreImage
