If I had to pick one word that is an essential component of having energizing work, connection is it.  You won’t be successful in either without connecting with others.  It doesn’t matter what technology is at your disposal, and it doesn’t matter if you have a great resume or background.  Connecting with others is the game changer.  Let’s all embrace this new day and commit to connecting with others, especially those with different experiences, skill sets, and geographies. For example, it was great to share ideas with Debbie Dunn-Boysen today.  It goes to show you that even if a person is outside your speciality-area, they could offer you ideas that you don’t expect. What will you be doing to make new connections this year?  P.S. I’m Christine, and I’m committed to consistently providing you with illuminating, compassionate, and invaluable content here on LinkedIn.  Liked this post? Right on, Christine! Sometimes we get so laser-focused on our work and our field, we forget the enormous value that comes from being in community with people from outside our regular channels.

Connecting with our communities is so important. Great motivation, Christine!
